I heard tale of the cioppino. I've never been a big fan of mussels, but I thought I'd make the sacrifice to get the full intention of the chef. Good move! Like they say, "every once in a while, even a blind dog finds a bone." My daughter gave me a taste of her duck. Lawdhammercy. I will definitely return to experience more of Cabezon's magic.

The service was great and the food was delicious. There were four of us and we all enjoyed the quiet ambiance. This is one of our favorite Portland restaurants and we are always happy with the experience.

Reservations at 7:00; table for 5 was ready. Norm was our server. Comfortable and professional. We had 2 cioppinos, duck, a ragu and a fish dish. Together with a few appetizers more than enough food. Small menu but each dish was well thought out and nicely presented. Music was loud at first but was immediately turned down when we asked. A lovely evening with old friends. Been coming here for years. Never disapppoints.

Cabezon is our neighborhood gem, and we have been dining there since it opened. The seafood dishes are always prepared with the best seasonal ingredients and freshest seafood, and service is always capable and friendly. It is our favorite spot to take visiting friends and family. This evening four of us shared appetizers, salad, two fish dishes, and dessert. We each had a well crafted cocktail from the bar. The butter lettuce salad with hazelnuts, caramelized Cana de Cabra cheese and fig vinaigrette was fantastic. The Mac and cheese was a nice, creamy indulgence. The perfectly cooked swordfish and black cod dishes were both excellent. And don't miss dessert here - we had the honey lavender crème brûlée and the frozen lemon parfait with rhubarb compote. Yum!!! Already looking forward to our next dinner at Cabezon.

We have been to Portland many times over the last 7 years (we live in Eugene). This was an outstanding experience for us! We just did drinks and appetizers and it was absolutely fabulous! Creative, fresh, timely and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We will def be back again soon!

We've dined quite a few times at Cabezon and with consistent great service and choices, we were not disappointed. We both commented that it was the best meal we'd had there. Which was great because we brought out of town guests with us and they loved it! Thank you and please keep it going. You've created a great recipe with Cabezon!

I’ve been coming here off and on for the past 9 years and never been disappointed until recently... The flavors in their dishes are beautifully layered and the prices are reasonable for a nice sit down restaurant. Their cioppino has always been my go to dish but this last experience left me a little unsatisfied. The portions of crab were very minimal. The radicchio salad was also prepared minimally. Definitely not what I remember. Still giving 5 stars since it was hopefully just mishap :) oh but my favorite chocolate dessert in PDX is the Pot de creme…. Absolutely the best taste, texture and generous portion!!

Just the best experience - help with the reservation, excellent food - combined with fun, friendly and fast service and a terrific ambience. I would make more specific food recommendations (especially loved the mussels and the cioppino) but honestly every dish was just delightful. Love the lighting features too.

I come yearly for training and tend to find a new place to eat everyday. This place after one visit I knew would be in my future visits. I had based off of prior reviews as a deciding factor for chosing this place. This is my 3rd time coming to Portland and let me say, this is the only restaurant I have decided to visit twice as the food is really that good, especially if you are a seafood person. The ciopinno will not let you down.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Came here with friends after a matinee at the Hollywood Theater and had a fantastic experience. Every single item was thoughtfully and exquisitely prepared. Service was attentive. The atmosphere cozy and unique with Chihuly glass dangling from the ceilings. The blini with caviar was a wonderful small bite. Was perfect transition after watching the 3 hour long masterpiece RRR which shows once a month. Don't miss that either ☺️ We also enjoyed the sugo pasta, smoked trout ravioli, the unique salads, and definitely get that honey lavender crème brûlée. Thank you, Cabezon!

The pork was undercooked. I mistakenly thought they cooked it to temp but I was hurting for 2 days afterwards.
