I had the best sandwich of my life here. Please, let me explain. I used to date a girl who worked for a toasted sub chain, and she used to make some really good sandwiches, i know sandwiches and I've traveled and I've had all kinds of flavors and look forward to more...but this place... This place...well, really is more involved than just Jersey Mike's as a company, it's more than the ingredients, the speed, or the convenient location, more What makes ANY retail, or food service experience really stand out is the STAFF. You managers out there who just sit back and whip the team, you corporate head honchos, well, most of you, you don't give your staff nearly enough credit. Your employees are worth more than what you pay them and you know it, they make or break your bottom line. Treat them with respect, dangit, they deserve it and if you dont you'll get what you deserve in turn. So I walked in and had never been there and read the whole menu while a young guy in his mid 20s was complimenting a fellow employee on her technique regarding flour or something, whatever it was, it sounded like deserved praise. You could feel the positivity in the room. After allowing me to a short minute to review the menu above him, and perceiving the confusion on my face, the guy offered his assistance in a pleasant and professional way. I could tell this guy knew his stuff, so I asked him what his favorite sandwich was and he gave me two options. I chose the one he seemed most excited about, and asked him to make it the easy he likes it, as if it was his lunch. My girlfriend ordered the other one. I've never been happier to have asked that question. From first to last bite, this sandwich was juicy meaty crunchy heaven. And so was my girlfriend's (made by the girl who got the praise) We will be back Over and over again. Because of the STAFF, the quality ingredients, and the location. There are many other local shops around, and sadly, at many of those places, you get the typical flippant hipster service. Yeah there are a few gems scattered, and yeah I prefer to put my money into locally owned and operated small businesses over chains, but again, STAFF can make or break a company. Thank you guy in his mid 20s with short brown hair (or dark blonde?) And the shorter girl with the longer kinda curly hair of the same color. You both know who you are and I hope you remember how happy you made us with that absurdly tasty meal. Thank you. You both deserve a raise.
