“Nice day sitting outside fir lunch. Can't go wrong with the Chefwich that rotates and I was lucky to get this modification of the Pho-rench dip on it's last day! Yum! Daughter got the Cubano and it was perfect with an amazing pickle! The fries were great but would have been off the charts with a garlic aioli. I can't say more about the Hush Puppies with honey butter. I'll be back just for those babies! It's walk up ordering and self bus, but everyone is very friendly and the place is super clean. Love me Lardo!“

“Break Bread was able to cater my daughter's 1st birthday on short notice. The staff was great, super friendly and communicative. Also, they're one of the few places in Portland that offers Dutch crunch bread. 10/10 would recommend.“

“I recently came back to have some lunch here after about a year. And I'm glad I did. Everything I've tried so far hits the spot. Atleast my spot. Came in around 11:30 and it was starting to get fairly busy. Not many places to sit inside but that is no problem. There hot sandwiches are fantastic as well as there cold ones. Whatever you're in the mood for, there sandwiches will fulfill your craving. If you have not tried them go check it out“

“Portuguese muffins are my favorite. When visiting my grandparents Newport, RI, the muffins were always my favorite for breakfast - and in the past I have asked family to mail me muffins on occasion. Lottie & Lula's breakfast sandwiches on the muffins are to die for. I always get a 4-pack of muffins to take home. If you have never tried coffee milk, it is also an amazing Rhode Island treat! ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“My favorite sandwich shop in Portland. Best Cubano sandwich I've ever had. The Chicago Beef with dip is incredibly satisfying and full of comfort. The Zombie Fries are out of this world. Excellent and friendly service, they take pride and put craft into what they do.“

“Got an Italian sub for lunch today & it was delicious! Very fresh roll & lots of add-ons. Yum! Highly recommend this shop. A little out of the way( between Vestal on 434 & Apalachin) but we’ll worth the trip. Support local businesses! ❤️“

“I came here for a sandwich but stayed for a cocktail. Both were awesome, but what shocked me was how affordable it was since the price of everything has been skyrocketing. And even then, the rye bread tasted super fresh, and the sandwich was loaded! The bartender was really fast with taking orders and making cocktails and then my food came out pretty fast also. They had a great selection cocktail essentials and local beer and spirits.Looking forward to trying one of everything.I like the giant windows to let in all of the sunlight and you have a nice view of the West Hills and all of the cars sitting in a traffic jam on I-5 lol.“

“Hands down, best service I’ve ever had from a delivery place. It’s 2:00 and my friends and I needed tenders- not only are they reasonably priced, I would’ve payed twice as much for the quality of the food, and the level of service from the owner (who, by the way, personally walked me through the menu and asked for suggestions). I’d pay $30 for these things, and I didn’t even get one of their sandwiches. I will definitely be ordering from them again, and I suggest you do the same.“

“The best Philly cheese steaks in the world. They have it mastered! I literally eat here for celebrations and won't eat Philly any place else. Ever! Everyone else is disappointing. The people who work here treat us like an old family friend! Seating available. Great views and glass bottle drinks. In pioneer square. Down town. Can't miss it. Don't miss it. Must try!“

“The food, of course, is the best part. Every sandwich is no small skinny piece that they serve but a nice hearty full and worth every dollar piece of deliciousness. The surf is great. Here in the ambient is pleasing as well and it's just a place you can come to sit down and eat and enjoy yourself on your lunch break, the weekend, anytime, really. I highly recommend coming here and supporting this local business it's small but quaint.“

“Is this the greatest sandwich shop in Portland? Almost definitely!Dan and Elise just recently moved their “hole in the wall” deli from the Monatvilla neighbourhood to Sellwood. The new location has plentiful seating in a cool Setting tucked in between other small business. Love the simple retro furnishing and wallpaper plus what has to be one of the best hand painted signs in Portland. I used to live in London and lived on Italian deli sandwiches and with Sebastiano’s they took that concept and made it better. Go for the sandwiches and stay for the wine and cookies “

“I love this place so much! Just went for the first time and got the bacon breakfast sando and my boyfriend got the spicy katsu pork sando and we both loved them!! I was very surprised by how good the breakfast sandwich was, so much flavor and sauce. Still craving this every morning when I wake up. Can’t wait to come back for lunch.“

“The “4 Pointer” is a better hoagie than most South Philly Italian delis—they don’t skimp on the meat, they toss the lettuce in a little salt/pepper/oil, and most importantly they got the bread right The curly fries are right on too. *Exactly* what you want when you’re getting curly fries. The patty melt is amazing, it’s my go-to rainy day lunch with a cup of soup.“

“A brief passing glimpse of a “Jawns” sign glowing in the night led us to this joint. We ordered the moment they opened the next day. My husband is from Philly and we lived there for years. We have tried pretty much every “touted” cheesesteak in Portland with varying levels of disappointment. Until now. THIS IS IT. Just bread, onion, meat, and cheese in some age-old, who-knows-what, you-know-it-when-you-taste-it alchemy of flavor that IS a Philly cheesesteak. Thank you thank you thank you. We’ll be back!“

“Came here for lunch and was absolutely delighted with their food. Got a breakfast sandwich (avocado + egg) and the bread was perfectly toasted. I also got a wedge salad and it was pretty tasty too. Only thing is that I wish it came with a bit more sauce. But that’s just my preference. Was still yummy.“

“I’ve been coming here for 15 years. And it rocks. Killer prices, nice staff, and amazing food. I drive out of my way all the time to come get sandwiches here, and they never disappoint. You’ll realize how terrible jimmy John’s, and subways are after you go to mo betta. Keep it up, don’t change a thing you guys make the best food at amazing pricing.“

“I LOVE this place! Absolutely my favorite sandwich shop in all of Portland. The staff is always friendly and their sandwiches are BOMB?? I highly recommend getting their special because whatever it is when you come here, it’s bound to be awesome. My other go to favorite is the number 3! Never had a bad experience here and I can’t wait to come back soon and get another Devil’s Dill!“

“It's two blocks away. I order and it's ready in 10 minutes to bring home and Chow down on. Unique consept; kinda like a waffle taco. Try it and you'll be back. Once in a while I run into somebody in the park on a bench eating one. I ask them how the waffle is and they don't stop eating but give me a thumbs up. Been meaning to try that in the summer.“

“I have been coming to the downtown and Division locations for years and I have NEVER been disappointed - this place is incredible! The borgata, the vegan, the godfather, every sandwich is great. Man, if you put a flip flop on a Baker’s Mark dutch crunch roll I bet it would taste good! The only heads up I’d give is that recently, they may have slightly reduced the amount of meat in the sandwiches (which I think is actually a better balance). So, if you want the old school Baker’s Mark experience with an ungodly amount of meat on your sandwich, be sure to add extra. Regardless, this place is still great value for fantastic food.“

“This is such a great deli shop to go to! The owner is super cool and always willing to accommodate. Prices are pretty cheap, IMHO, with offerings of soups, sandwiches, and salads. There are daily soup and sandwich specials as well. They also have a small selection of cookies , muffins, and cold drinks. So far, I have only ordered the bacon breakfast burrito, which is less than 8 dollars, and it's not your small frozen burrito that just gets reheated it made frome scratch with eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese. They usually have some already made and ready to go.They are located in a warehouse building with other tenants. Unfortunately you can very easily miss the location if you are not looking for it. If you are in the area, then you definitely should stop by.Parking: Location is within a warehouse complex with several other buildings and companies. So parking is abundant.“

“I was so hungry that I didn't take a photo (oops!). My friend recommended their eggplant parmigiana sandwiches. We ordered for pickup. They were hot, crispy, open and tasty! Service was friendly. They are a cart under a covered area. I'd come back to try the chicken Parmesan.“

“I’ve been coming in here for over 8 months while working in the area, Kyle is awesome he remembers the regulars and their orders and he’s extremely efficient and multitasks as good as anyone I’ve seen! This doesn’t take away from the rest of the staff because they may be the busiest store I’ve ever seen! This is the best JM I’ve been in and I travel the country for work so I’ve seen many! Keep it up“

“The menu is great; it was difficult to decide. The service was timely, friendly and accurate. I ordered the salmon bowl from the specials, and I was really disappointed that it was mostly rice. The garnishes were yummy, thankfully, because there was about ONE bite of salmon. If I go back, I’ll order the quiche because it looked good, and ample!“

“This place is FANTASTIC. I got the Torpedo and chicken teriyaki. Food was great. Full parking lot and dining room but I was still served in less than 5 with a custom order. The lady after me was in such a hurry because she had very little time for a break and they got her a chicken teriyaki to go and maybe 45 seconds after she paid. Food selection is fantastic. The atmosphere is really cool. Continued store worth of go drinks ready. They also have an order yourself kiosks and they checked in just to make sure you didn't need help the first time using something like that. You can really tell that this was a place that lots of hungry workers came for years. They still have remnants of security doors from when the neighborhood was not as friendly up here in slaptown. In the 10 minutes it took me to write this review. The place is cleared out and the next batch of lunch time folk showed up. This place is truly badass.Wheelchair accessibility: Is really good Wheelchair ramp“

“Ate here yesterday morning after a date with a lovely lady kayak paddling just outside Portland - and it was perfect for us as we were soaked & half frozen (me from Hawaii / she San Diego).... This morning we had it delivered before I flew out to the houseboat she rented for the month and sadly not everything made it to the houseboat that our Uber Eats guy dropped off so I called to bitch - well not their fault / Uber driver ate my waffle in the way. A testament is just how good it is - coffee is fantastic too.“

“Pastrami on Dutch Crunch here at the time of thus review is the best sandwich in Portland. I'd offer a photo but it dawned on me that I've never been able to take one because I eat them too fast. The other selections are also fantastic but if you have to pick one, pick that. The standout feature to me, outside of the masterfully crafted bread, are the pickles. They are considerably thin enough to add a tasteful acidity for every bite. The perfect sandwich demands balance in flavor and texture and The Baker's Mark passes with flying colors. The slander from other reviewers is ridiculous. How are you going to give a respectable business one star because they ran out of bread? You think they should "just make more" like it's that easy? You don't know dick about bread. None of us exist in a vacuum and the world often operates outside of our direct interest. Have more shame before offering such worthless words“

“If you are looking for a quick and delicious sandwich it's hard to go wrong with a Bahn Mi from Best Baguette. They are running a very efficient operation. The thing that makes this one different is the amount of warm butter spread in their sandwiches, just perfect. If you haven't had a fresh out of the oven baguette with warm butter spread in a baguette you are really missing out.“

“This is a quaint, little, unassuming place to eat. If my friend didn't take me here, I wouldn't have noticed it at all! But it's got a nice view of the river, pretty clean, and quick service. Nice owners, and the cook was really good. Definitely worth grabbing a quick bite when you're in a crunch!“

“Probably my favorite sandwiches in Portland. Typically, I'd go for a waste management, but sometimes I'll get a chopped cheese. Which, by the way, if you live in Portland and haven't ever had the chance to try a chopped cheese before, this is where you should try one. They have a surprisingly good drink selection, too, especially canned coffee.“

“Located on 23rd ave, which has great restaurants all over, but can be busy and hard to find parking. Convenient to walk in from the street. It is a small shop but there is some indoor seating available. The menu is simple. Most sandwiches are variations of the original in cheese etc, although they have some additional special sandwiches, and they have fries etc. They also offer a vegetarian which is basically the original minus the meat, but it is good to have the option. I am not too familiar with philly cheesesteaks but I can say it was a good sandwich. The meat was tender and moist but not too much, you can taste the peppers. We ordered the garlic rosemary fries, which were delicious, but the portion size was fairly large for even what they call the small size. The sandwiches also seemed quite large. I'd recommend the 6 inches over the foot long for an average day and appetite. The wait for a to-go order was about 5-10min with a couple other customers in the store. I think it is fair. Special shout-out for the lady in the front that took my order. Very warm and friendly. Explained the menu options and made it simple and comfortable to order.“

“I finally tried Gene's Deli after Subway stopped carrying Swiss or cheddar. I wish I had tried it a long time ago! My sandwich was absolutely delicious and the gentleman who took my order was kind and funny. Much better than Subway. I look forward to getting sandwiches from Gene's regularly!“
“If the Ninja Turtles ate anything other than pizza, they would eat East Side Deli sandwiches (specifically the Italian). I believe this with my absolute whole heart. East Side is the type of sandwich shop you dream about... it's what every other shop in town wishes they could be. Having a bad day? Get a sandwich. Hungover after yet another failed Hinge date? Get a sandwich, add a chocolate chip cookie and a Mexican Coke. The Staff is unmatched, friendly and thoughtful and I'm pretty sure you can actually taste the love in every bite.“

I had what they call the Holiday. Turkey with cream cheese, cranberry sauce and lettuce. Hubby had the Full Boat. All meats and toppings.“

“This is hands down the best Jimmy John's location in the entire Portland area. On my most recent visit I was greeted with friendly smiles and waves the moment I approached the door. I thought there would be a line at noon on a Wednesday, but the cashier was too quick! It's like he knew what I wanted! The sandwich crew was firing out sandwiches so freaky fast it felt like they're coming from a T-shirt cannon at a Blazers game. You can tell each sandwich artist really takes pride in their craft. There was such a good vibe in the shop it made me wish I hadn't ordered to go. I even received a hearty fist bump from a delivery driver on my way out. Every ingredient on my #15 was appropriately portioned especially the extra mayo and extra hot pepps. It was so beautiful I chugged it before I could take a picture. Well done Lloyd center JJs“

“I love Japanese sandos and was so happy to find this spot when visiting Portland. My husband and I shared:- Miso Katsu Sando with Pork- Naka Sando- Tokyo Curry Pan SandoI don't think you can go wrong with anything you get here. The Miso Katsu Sando was my favorite. I loved the sauce and all of the flavors. The curry sando was super unique. I enjoyed the first few bites the most, but then it got a bit too heavy for me with the fried bread. I would ideally want to share this with 4 people. The cart consistently has a line. We waited about 40 minutes for ordering + receiving our food. You can order in advance too, but they weren't sold out of any sandos when we got there around noon on a weekend. There is a lot of covered outdoor seating and heaters when it's cold. Parking in the area is paid street parking only.“
