While we waited for our table to be set, we had a chance to meet the owner. He was interesting and funny. He really cares about this place and customers. It's more than worth it, the food is fire and with the portions it still feels like a lot but it's nice to try a little of everything. “First I want to say that the Alfredo pizza was the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. The food here is 10/10 with some of the best vegan food in all of Portland. However, the service was horrible, we had to work to get our waiters attention to get more water and asked for our bill twice before receiving it. With a no tipping policy in place I feel there was no incentive to provide good service.“

“NY style pizza from a food truck? You betcha. Top PDX pizza places for NY style pizza are usually Escape from NY, SFNY, SIZZLE Pie, Baby Doll but now you can add Giants NY to the list. Ordered an 18” Pepperoni pie and everything about it is just right. The fold, the cheese pull, the taste, Yumm! Also ordered a sausage calzone because it is so rare to find a calzone here that contains ricotta cheese. This was huge and full of goodness. That ricotta sure hits the spot!“

“We Loved Serrato's. We have been going there since the Nineties, and go about once a month. Two negative notes. It was extremely noisy and conversation was almost impossible. I know it's true of almost all restaurants these - they lack of tablecloths doesn't help. and the prices seem to have gone up a deal. However, IT IS STILL A GREAT RESTAURANT. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is just sensational, and ether's valet parking. apart from minor irritations, it's heaven on earth!“

“I had one of the best dishes that I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. Upon the waitresses enthusiastic recommendation (she seemed really excited about it) I went with the Boscaiola with pasta instead of ravioli. “I applaud you for being open!!! I ordered my food Togo on the phone. When I got there front door was open with a table blocking which there was a sign order here. I went to back door which was closed, I opened cause I guessed maybe that’s where you get your food Togo and it was to be picked up there. I come thru he said you order from the front( also didn’t really give me a chance to politely saying anything) and noted there was another guy in there that looked to be picking up food as well. Then went to the front he come to the front door with a iPad to take my order and I say a order Togo for Robbie. Then was “owe ok”. Get home the food was great some of the best pie I have ever had! Only reason I explained this was I think clear signage would make this transaction easier. This is a very tough time and people want to be safe. I also LIKED he asked to pay Cc over the phone and asking for the tip ahead of time does limits person contact. Will be back!“

Instantly loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in to be seated!!! “I walked up to order and saw loads of basil in front of me getting ready to be turned into something delicious. I ordered a small order of arancini balls. I was delighted that I could choose different ones on the same order. They had 4 varieties and all sounded amazing. I ordered the original mozz and the pepperoni and mozz. Then I could choose from 4 different sauces and I chose the original marinara. These were so good along with the sauce that I can’t wait to go back and try all of them but next time I’m ordering the large for sure! Additionally I ordered the Italian chopped salad and added grilled chicken and soppressata dry cured ham. It was an explosion of flavors! The grilled chicken was so good along with the ham. I can’t wait to go back and try more. Next I’m trying either the eggplant parm sub of the vegan pesto pasta, especially after witnessing the mound-o-basil. I won’t be forgetting the large aracini balls either ;)“

“I live in this area and never really noticed this restaurant from the outside because the exterior is nothing special and the dim lighting inside doesn't give you a hint of the festivities inside. But after reading about it on a website for best Italian restaurants, I went for dinner with a friend. We sat at the counter (and were able to order ala carte, there was no tasting menu only). Overall, the vibe is friendly neighborhood restaurant that's a bit high-end. The dishes are bit pricey (and like some people said already, the portions, especially the antipasti, are on the small end) but the flavors and cooking are really well done. The pasta of course was perfectly fresh (we had the agnolotti) and the pork tomahawk special of the day ($53) was an interesting mix of pork chop and chorizo. Service was super attentive, but like others said, maybe too attentive because they check on you so often that at one point I felt I couldn't really enjoy the meal with all the interruptions. I can see how this is a great place to celebrate a special occasion and the quality is first rate, people just need to be prepared for what it is, which is slightly smaller dishes at premium prices. With an Italian menu, there are several courses (like a primi and secondi) so if you want to do all courses, including desserts, then probably can share. But if you're not planning to do multiple dishes, then the serving size is good for one person.“

Overall great experience. Kids loved Italian sodas. The cheese bread and bruschetta were so good. Pizza was great even the GF. We also ordered chicken piccata & Alfredo. The piccata wasn’t our fave. “Amazing service. Really cute place. I got the white sauce lasagna and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Not only did I have one of the best meals of my life, but they also have wet wipes in the bathroom. “I recommend the food. The staff? I’m sitting outside City Pets next door and I can’t go in because of Covid policy. I didn’t want to sit in my hot car. Cibo was not yet open. There are five empty outside tables and zero outside tables taken. I asked if I could sit at one while I waited for City Pets to finish. The complete answer I got was “Well… we open in four minutes.” So now I stand against my car on the sidewalk, staring at five tables outside Cibo still not in use. Much appreciated. I should not have bothered to ask. I doubt anyone seated outside will appreciate me staring at them, should any tables ever be taken. Again, the food is good.“

“What an unexpected surprise. We were celebrating husband's birthday. When we arrived, there were roses on the table and a card for him from the restaurant. Started off with their signature Focaccia Bread, which was wonderful. Then husband had the Lamb Osso Bucco and I had the Parm-crusted Sole. We are both raving about our dinners. There isn't anything bad we could say about either dish. Finished off with Chocolate Mousse and it was amazing. Next to the service - We were greeted warmly at the front door and seated immediately (reservations recommended). Our server Alex was amazing as well. Very attentive but not intrusive. Fingers crossed!On Sunday, April 28th at 8:22pm, my partner and I placed an order on Uber Eats. Aware that this was ~40 minutes before closing, we understood it could be denied, though we erred on the side of optimism since it wasn't, say, 5-10 minutes before closing. To our delight, the order was accepted. Once it was ready, we were notified that a delivery driver was picking it up. Upon arrival, the driver seemed to encounter an issue, and another driver was sent to pick it up. Then another. After three drivers failed to pick up the order, we called Virtuous Pie only to be blankly told that there was no order. When we asked why the order—which went from being accepted to being prepared to ready for pickup—somehow didn't exist, we were met with smug dismissal and total disinterest in explanation, apology, or making things right. It was a masterclass in anti-customer customer service. My partner and I have been regulars of Virtuous Pie since day one, but we could never in good conscience order from here again. If you have any self-respect as a consumer worthy of common decency, you shouldn't either. Uber Eats eventually cancelled the order on behalf of Virtuous Pie and stopped payment.“

“I LOVE Caffe Mingo. I have been coming here at least once per month for the past year. It is a little bit on the pricey side for me, however, it is worth it. The service is fabulous, the manager and servers are nice and accommodating (including when you order off-menu drinks and modify some of the food dishes), and the atmosphere is great. The food is exquisite and the drinks are delicious. I always get their fun mocktails, such as my ultimate favorite, the sondrio, however, people who have been with me have enjoyed many of their other specialty cocktails (the calabria, the limoncello, and more!) I love their pizza and pretty much exclusively order that, however, I also know many of their pasta dishes are delicious (such as the penne al forno and the ravioli in the brown butter sauce). People who have been with me have also loved the beef tenderloin, as well as the various stew specials over the past few months (lamb and beef). The cavoletti (brussels sprouts) is also always a hit.
