“Honestly was the best steak house I’ve been to… I liked how the waiter explained the whole process to the table, gave great recommendations & the chef gave us a free soup sample. All the food was 5/5 stars. Best steak & pork chop hands down.“

“If only someone could figure how to get Russian food right! Oh wait, these guys just did! An innovative take on Russian cuisine, modernizing it while staying true to its essence. We had a very enjoyable experience here. The staff were great, offered insightful recommendations and were very professional. The food was amazing. The lobster olivieh (on the special menu) was a star! The Zakuskis both hot and cold were amazing. The wine list was great! You can't leave without trying some vodka obviously. “We get to experience a lot of the Portland dining scene and we're grateful for that. Every once in a while a place hits different. The food is good, sure. And the drinks are good too. But in Portland for better or worse you're going to get pretty good food and good drinks. The places that hit different have a little bit of magic in them. It's the food. It's the drinks. And often it's an incredible, perfect mix of context and hospitality. We got to experience C'est Si Bon on a night that was our anniversary. The kids were at home with their grandparents. We were in no rush. We were ready to experience a new restaurant. And we just happened to luck out that John, the owner, took care of us. He took us on a tour of his menu, both food and wine, while regaling us with stories from a dozen years in Portland food and beverage and another decade in France. Chef was on point. John was a delight. And we ended up having an experience we couldn't have reserved and would've been unreasonable to hope for. It was a human experience, sprinkled with incredible food and wine along the way. “We were out last night looking for some new & interesting dining and discovered this really trendy eatery . There atrium was magnificent to dine in as we ordered an Italian charcuterie board for our starter. We followed with a tequila Negroni that was sooo goooood Next was a yummy dish of prawns in a buttery sauce - they were cut thin with the whole prawn wow!!! Pro: -If you have your heart set on the nook or any other seat, you can make a reservation in advance online. -We enjoyed their wines and found a big variation in each pour, so there should be at least one pour that will suit your group's tastes! -The owner is a delight & the cave like interior makes the experience more intimate and cozy -Get the original grilled cheese. The bread and cheese are all good quality! Con: -Reservations cost $10 per person, and that is not refunded or deducted from your balance Get there earlier in the night to ensure a seat!“

“Boy, do I wish I lived closer to this spot! I would 100% be a regular. I would come in after work a few days every week and wave hello to the staff, order up a small froze, a cheese platter and then maybe follow it all up with a cup of soft serve after thinking for a LONG time about whether I wanted it sprinkled with beet or chai dust. Here's what I actually ordered on my first and only time at Cheese and Crack: 1. A small froze. This may be hard to believe, but I had never had a froze before. It was a good thing this was a small, I don't love overly alcoholic tasting drinks, this one felt like a slushy, pink and easy. 2. A cheese platter for two with a brulee torched brie, a delicious cheddar, three kinds of crackers that appeared to be all homemade and a ton of side accompaniments, like cornichons, olives, apple butter, mustard and chocolate ganache. 3. A dish of soft serve with beet dust You can sit inside OR outside and watch the world go by. Everything was great and did not break the bank.“

My second time coming back and every menu item I’ve tried so far has been great.Interior is clean and cozy.Hours are a bit funky otherwise I’d probably frequent much more often. “Most tender, well flavored chicken I’ve eaten. Delicious! The white meat was unbelievably moist and the skin crisp and delightfully smoky. Simple presentation that was perfect for my in things being an unostentatious. Beet and grapefruit salad was a wonderfully surprising combination of flavors. “first time here and i really love this place, it has such a welcoming vibe. the staff is knowledgeable of their wines, friendly and nice. You can tell the owner really puts in the effort for the ambience of a this wine shop. At the entrance there are multiple games you can chose from to enjoy your time. I will be coming back again. My advice is just take your coat off and stay awhile.“

“There are no half stars, so I feel odd about the 4. It was better than 4 but not a 5. A traditional Japanese restaurant on the ground floor of an office building. The warm wood furnishings blended nicely with all the glass frontage. Counter service for sushi, as well as small private dining rooms that I definitely want to check out on another visit. Murata's service, ambience and *most* of the food we tried were stellar. Not quite 5 star for us entirely because of the rice served along with our meals. I ordered unaju, served in a 3 tiered set of dishes with a light salad in one, 3 good sized slices of unagi in another, and the driest rice ever served at a decent Japanese restaurant in the third. I needed every bit of the kabayaki sauce to make it even partly edible. Sent most of the rice back with other empty dishes. My dining companion commented that we should bring baggies of our own rice cooked at home next time. My dining companion had a combo set of salmon shioyaki plus sushi. The salmon was nicely grilled and flavorful. Luckily the sushi rice is not the same. All the fush cuts were excellent. The hotate (scallop) as well as the shimaaji were excellent. A slice of fresh cantaloupe rounded out the meal with a light freshness. The price was very reasonable for the service and quality of food (rice excepted) and we will be going back and likely trying to get sushi counter seats.“

“I'm not a huge pizza fan, and coming from Chicago, I have a lot of deep dish experience, so was somewhat skeptical. But Ranch was close by and had good reviews so we tried it. We got the Four and I was a Ranch Pizza fan with the first bite. That crunchy cheesy edge and the combo of a great sausage, peppers and fresh mozzarella won me over. The quality of the toppings makes a huge difference. Don't tell my birthplace, but I'm a Detroit pizza lover now, but not from just anywhere, it's gotta be from Ranch Pizza!“

“We Loved Serrato's. We have been going there since the Nineties, and go about once a month. Two negative notes. It was extremely noisy and conversation was almost impossible. I know it's true of almost all restaurants these - they lack of tablecloths doesn't help. and the prices seem to have gone up a deal. However, IT IS STILL A GREAT RESTAURANT. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is just sensational, and ether's valet parking. apart from minor irritations, it's heaven on earth!“

Upon the waitresses enthusiastic recommendation (she seemed really excited about it) I went with the Boscaiola with pasta instead of ravioli. “I walked into Stem the day I moved into my building which is conveniently next door. Chris immediately made an environment where I knew this was going to be my Livingroom. So I've been going here since I moved here two years ago. Morgan! My favorite Sommelier has taught me soooo much about the beauty of wine and has always suggested everything perfected to my taste. Eliza became a fast friend while we discussed all the wine. I am in awe every day watching her pour out a red and white wine flight on the same tray and know where she positioned them so she could provide the info of each wine as she presented it. “We finally checked out this lovely bar on Saturday night and I can say it is as inviting inside as it looks from the sidewalk. We've walked by a few times and heard the great music and peered in and I'm so glad we decided to step inside. The bar smelled incredible because they were making their housemade limoncello. We sat near the bar and enjoyed a nicely-made Manhattan, glass of red wine, crispy melty mozzarella sticks, and a very yummy burger and fries. Everyone was friendly and the ambience is perfect. It was dark but warm, full of plants and fun lighting. The disco rhino over the restroom door made us giggle. We will definitely return soon. 6 stars!“
