“Perfect date night with amazingly well prepared food. Appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed by the waiter or that the restaurant was trying to keep the guests revolving through as fast as they could. Was not expecting a few menu items with Asian flair, highly recommend pairing the chilled tom kha mussels and shrimp udon. Husband said oysters were the best he’s had. Really enjoyed having some different drinks to try, like skin contact wine and Amari. Will definitely be back!“

“Lovely venue, amazing food. Every single bite was unique. I typically approach food as fuel, but the same ingredients prepared by masterful hands and palates on a warm Portland evening are downright ethereal. Unparalleled. Go for the fixed course meal and wine pairings, and let them make the decisions. Dealbreaker: The focaccia and butter plate is like none I’ve experienced before. Best plate ever. Seriously. If you haven’t had butter or cheese with honey and fennel, it’s a must.“

“Our friends that have dined all over the world say this is one of their favorite restaurants in town. My friend and I went and thought it was good but not mind-blowing. The service was good, the atmosphere very lively and fun (kind of on a hip bar side of things). For the equivalent quality and price and portions, I prefer many other place in town. Also, I think another reviewer mentioned they left hungry? To be fair, we only ordered four plates and 2-3 were recommended per person at minimum, meat free. However...I too left hungry and just didn't want to surpass the $45 (with tip) I already spent on my food plus $20 for drink.“

“UPDATED REVIEW: I had previously had a poor experience but the second visit completely changed my mind. I'm really happy I gave it a second shot. TLDR: Le Pigeon went from 2 stars to 5 stars after our second experience there because it really is a phenomenal spot to dine for special occasions or anyone looking for an excellent tasting menu. Andy (co-owner) reached out to me pretty quickly after seeing my review and hadn't seen the private review I had given due to their switch from Resy to OpenTable. The email really put me at ease because Andy was very understanding and didn't make excuses for any of the reasons I gave regarding our poor experience. He is a first class owner. Every interaction via email as well as in person was pleasant and professional. Andy even made sure to introduce himself to myself and my husband the second time we came in. Every dish was cooked to perfection this time. We opted for the chef's counter which I HIGHLY recommend, especially if you likes asking questions about the meals and preparations. The chefs were very knowledge, down-to-earth, super friendly and willing to share enthusiastically. My favorite dish was the sea scallop with macadamia nut, mezcal and strawberry (to die for, melts in your mouth) and the opening dish which was a savory rice crispy with onion jam, unagi, and shaved truffle - divine! The dessert was also so delicious and refreshing. The halibut dish was another winner, poached to perfection in olive oil, tasted like spring. Every staff member this time was friendly, I never had my water lower than half way (which I really appreciate because I'm always thirsty lol), the atmosphere was pleasant and the playlist was great while not being too loud. Huge thanks to Andy and Molly for the wonderful experience and being open to any feedback given. I am truly thankful for the second shot and very happy we were able to experience Le Pigeon in the right way.“

“We were out last night looking for some new & interesting dining and discovered this really trendy eatery . There atrium was magnificent to dine in as we ordered an Italian charcuterie board for our starter. We followed with a tequila Negroni that was sooo goooood Next was a yummy dish of prawns in a buttery sauce - they were cut thin with the whole prawn wow!!! “I heard tale of the cioppino. I've never been a big fan of mussels, but I thought I'd make the sacrifice to get the full intention of the chef. Good move! Like they say, "every once in a while, even a blind dog finds a bone." My daughter gave me a taste of her duck. Lawdhammercy. I will definitely return to experience more of Cabezon's magic.“

“Boy, do I wish I lived closer to this spot! I would 100% be a regular. I would come in after work a few days every week and wave hello to the staff, order up a small froze, a cheese platter and then maybe follow it all up with a cup of soft serve after thinking for a LONG time about whether I wanted it sprinkled with beet or chai dust. Here's what I actually ordered on my first and only time at Cheese and Crack: 1. A small froze. This may be hard to believe, but I had never had a froze before. It was a good thing this was a small, I don't love overly alcoholic tasting drinks, this one felt like a slushy, pink and easy. 2. A cheese platter for two with a brulee torched brie, a delicious cheddar, three kinds of crackers that appeared to be all homemade and a ton of side accompaniments, like cornichons, olives, apple butter, mustard and chocolate ganache. 3. A dish of soft serve with beet dust You can sit inside OR outside and watch the world go by. Everything was great and did not break the bank.“

“Was in town for a few days and came in for lunch. First time at this spot though I've been to Han Oak before. Lunch was really excellent. I went with the Ban Chan side dishes, a dol sot bowl of rice, and split the Korean fried chicken with one wing of each flavor (essence of ramen and sweet and spicy) The ban chan was quite good, especially the marinated spinach. The wings were also excellent. Beautiful crunch and flavor. One order plus the sides was enough for lunch (for me, at least). My only disappointment was the dol sot rice. It wasn't actually dol sot. There was no fried crunch on the bottom, probably because it wasn't actually cooked in this pot. Just served that way. Felt a little unnecessary. Just a side of rice will do. Service was excellent. Sat at the bar and my bartender was kind and sweet. Was lovely to be back in PDX. Will come back for lunch next time I return.“

“Truly we LOVED this restaurant! It’s one of our new favorites. The place was packed on a Friday night of course but we walked in without a reservation and they were able to fit us in about 20-30 minutes. We had a cocktail while we waited. The service was amazing, everyone was super friendly and inviting, food was amazing! I had an amazing spring vegetable pasta and the crunch of the peas in it was soooo good! We will definitely be back!“

“Staple NE breakfast joint. They have classics as well as original takes. There's a little something for everyone, including your four-legged family members. I recommend making a reservation in advance for the weekends especially as they do tend to have a waitlist.“

“Absolutely delicious food, true European ambiance, and old world hospitality. Closest thing to Germany I've experienced outside of Germany. The Chicken Schnitzl was exquisite, the Dill Pickle Soup to die for, and the potato salad was the best I've ever had, all for surprisingly reasonable prices. So impressed by this place and will put it on our restaurant rotation.“

“Yum! A friend recommended this place for the wine selection, which I don't drink, but she enjoyed it! The food was AMAZING!! Pros: Staff was friendly and accommodating Variety of food for any eaters! Great wine/cocktail/mocktail list Easy to get reservations Cons: 4th floor and the elevator has been broken for a while If you sit on the patio or by the west windows during sunset hours its REALLY bright and they don't close the curtains, but they do offer sunglasses!“

“We had a fantastic brunch at this adorable restaurant. They offer delicious gluten-free versions of favorites such as Eggs Benedict and Austrian pancakes. I also recommend the rose hip lemonade and can't wait to try their ginger beer. “I mean wow, so good. So incredibly good! I didn't realize that Plumb is the kitchen located inside of the bar (Deadshot). It was my first time experiencing something like this (maybe I need to get out more) and it was incredible. The food is made to order so patience is key but luckily theres an amazing bar with handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while you wait. We arrived right at 4pm on Saturday evening and were promptly greeted and seated. We opted for a seat right at the bar. I ordered a red wine and my husband ordered a Deadshot. Then we placed our food order. We ordered the cesar salad, grilled cabbage, burger and steak frites and everything was so incredibly good. Fresh, decadent, perfectly cooked and ever so tasty. Of the items we tried, the cabbage dish was our favorite. I've never had cabbage with bechamel, apples and hazelnuts. It was simply divine! Highly recommend checking this place out!“

“We decided to try Basilisk at The Zipper for a bite to eat, and it was my first time there. It's a food court concept with a central seating area surrounded by various restaurants and a bar. There was a short line that moved quickly, and the cashier/server was super friendly and helpful explaining the menu. I opted for the Chicken Sandwich with their signature hot sauce and a side of coleslaw. This sandwich is no joke! It's huge and incredibly flavorful. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the hot sauce had a good amount of heat that was balanced by the creamy coleslaw that had what I assume was roulade sauce in it. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! Highly recommended!“

“I absolutely love My Vice. I live around the corner and have been in a few dozen times over the last year or so. Great little covered and heated patio to sit with my dog. The staff are always very friendly and super attentive. They usually come out with a dog treat and a bowl of water before I get seated. Then it's bloody Mary time. The food is always spot on. The breakfast dumplings are no joke and I don't know what it is about their beef but it's top notch.They've been doing dinner service on Fridays for a while now and the menu is awesome.Vegetarian options: They usually have a variety of vegetarian optionsParking: Parking lot on the side of building holds about 8 to ten vehicles“

“Me and my five friends went for the first time to get drinks and some food to share. We made a reservation and came right at opening (4:15 ish), we all got a fun shot I had the peach tea one that was super yummy, we also tried their Jell-O shots and pudding shots. I got the "bounce bounce" mixed drink that was super good and refreshing. We got a wide variety of apps all pleasantly surprised me, my favs were the potato wedges and the carrots with hummus. Overall Daniel took great care of us and I'd return & recommend!“

“My family and I visited The Rambler to watch the Philadelphia Eagles Game and it was great. My parents enjoyed their drinks and the food was very good. The outdoor area in the back was nice. Parking was a bit difficult to find in the area. The food that we got was Tornado Potatoes, a quesadilla, and two orders of fish tacos. Tornado potato's were seasoned well and very tasty. The fish tacos were delicious. The tortillas and fish that they used were good. The quesadilla was even better. The service was good as well. I'll be revisiting this restaurant soon.“

“Preston is one of the kindest, most personable bartenders in the city, so glad LB was able to retain his talents. Give that man a raise.Beers are diverse; light sours are the main attraction, but plenty of IPAs, stouts + lagers as well. The lager is stellar. Nice to finally see some higher ABV options.Patio is great, dog friendly, both open air + more private options. The establishment encourages outside seating, which is nice to see when most places are practicing COVID denial.Lawless BBQ is no Holy Trinity, but damn good, and very reasonably priced. “This place is so cute! I really enjoyed my food. I for the Smoked Salmon Bagel and it was to die for!! The workers were so nice and checked in on my order, as I don't like onions and they wanted to make sure I was getting my food correctly without any onions on it. “We went to a SoFar event in the lounge which was closed to the public. Such a comfy, cozy, chic hotel. They have chairs and couches in addition to bar chairs with tables and chairs throughout. The plants added to the warmth and coziness. We didn't eat. The bartender was overwhelmed but he dealt with it professionally. I heard they have a rooftop bar too!!! We'll have to go back and check it out.“

“I live in this area and never really noticed this restaurant from the outside because the exterior is nothing special and the dim lighting inside doesn't give you a hint of the festivities inside. But after reading about it on a website for best Italian restaurants, I went for dinner with a friend. We sat at the counter (and were able to order ala carte, there was no tasting menu only). Overall, the vibe is friendly neighborhood restaurant that's a bit high-end. The dishes are bit pricey (and like some people said already, the portions, especially the antipasti, are on the small end) but the flavors and cooking are really well done. The pasta of course was perfectly fresh (we had the agnolotti) and the pork tomahawk special of the day ($53) was an interesting mix of pork chop and chorizo. Service was super attentive, but like others said, maybe too attentive because they check on you so often that at one point I felt I couldn't really enjoy the meal with all the interruptions. I can see how this is a great place to celebrate a special occasion and the quality is first rate, people just need to be prepared for what it is, which is slightly smaller dishes at premium prices. With an Italian menu, there are several courses (like a primi and secondi) so if you want to do all courses, including desserts, then probably can share. But if you're not planning to do multiple dishes, then the serving size is good for one person.“

“Came here for dessert for my adult son's birthday. It was a first time. They were full, but the hostess seated us at a counter where we could observe the kitchen/chefs. We had a great time. “The poor bartender was the only person on service. That meant from my arrival to 5:30ish, I had to walk up to the bar and request a drink, water, napkin, food....But, even after my friends started showing up and the number of staff increased,(6p.m.) no one came to our table to take our order. But, no one really took any orders unless you went to the bar. Food was delivered, but it felt like we were a bother when we waited to order.The food was ok. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was heated up and then blasted with a torch to crisp up the top.“

“Cute little spot to grab a cocktail mixed excellently by such a friendly bartender. Everyone here was welcoming and so nice. The food came out pretty quick and looked amazing. I got the ox tail cheese steak sandwich with fries. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that the cost of the meal didn't include fries. It was 16 bucks and 3 dollars more for fries. Other than thati would go again and take advantage of the happy hour pricing from 4pm-6pm.“

“Great selection of original desserts. Loved the bourbon ball, which is perfect for dark and intense chocolate lovers. The baked alaska was a bit too sweet and was different to the ones I had elsewhere. Cappuccino was tasty. The location is great and the indoor space is large. Prices were also very reasonable given the great quality of the desserts. I plan to revisit to try different desserts. ?“

“We came here after a kid’s birthday party in the neighborhood. The food was delicious and made to order, and the kitchen was really accommodating with our 3 5 year olds, making modifications to the menu to make things kid friendly. I’m gluten free and they also very easily accommodated me. We didn’t have any drinks but the bar menu looked awesome. This is a great little gem!!!“
