“Food, tasty. Beers, tasty. Sports on the TV, awesome.But what I really want to talk about is the bar stools. I have never in my life sat on a bar stool that fit my entire a$$. Thank you. I have never been so comfortable and felt so seen in an establishment. There's something truly next level about being able to sit in a seat that doesn't pinch or cut off circulation while you devour cauliflower in a lighter than air batter.“

“1st time here. My wife had a workgroup funday. You oder your food and beverage, and you take your receipt to the food truck just outside the back patio. They cook and prepare your food and buzz you when it is completed. Did I mention put-put golf. Yes, they ha e a small course inside the restaurant. You pay per round of golf.“

“The last time I was here, it was 4-4-2. Before that, it was a small grocery store and a place to get a quick bite. I'm glad that the new owners decided to keep the soccer theme to it. The new staff is friendly and welcoming, the environment is fun, there's always something playing on the TV. Haven't tried the food, so I won't speak on that. If you're a fan of soccer or any other sport, this is the place for you.“

“Best beer, battered fish, and chips made with halibut that I have found in Portland Oregon. It's a bar so kids aren't allowed. Service is fast and friendly and the halibut. Fish and chips are very reasonably priced. Check out their weekly specials.“

“The brother at Khao Niew told us to check out his sister's restaurant here- and here we are for dinner. Lemme tell y'all... This was my favorite restaurant we ate while we were in Portland for a week!!! The food is AMAZING, it's as authentic as it can get. The spice level, the flavor, the portion - just done right!!! The nam khao 5/5 - the crispiness with the nam was perfect- the portion was so big I couldn't finish it but omg, this was one of the best nam khao I've had. The khao piak 5/5 - my all time fav comfort food. The broth is amazing, the noodle makes the broth thicken up, put a little bit of chili oil to give it that "umph" ; just writing this review makes me crave for it again lol. The Lao Sample Platter for 2 consists of : papaya salad, sien savanh (heavenly lao jerky), lao sausage, soft boil egg, pork rinds, rice noodles and sticky rice.. we weren't going to order this but my fiance wanted to try everything and see if it meets up with his expectations.... And it sure did!!!! The papaya salad is spicy, that good spice that makes you want more- tip, put the vermicelli noodles in the papaya salad, trust me. The beef jerky was so crispy yet so tender, hard to explain but it was just done right. I love the fried meatballs, simple yet so good when you're eating it with sticky rice and papaya salad. The Lao sausage was my fiancé's favorite, he said it was just like home. The service was quick. You order at the counter first. They have a nice patio section too. They also sold beef jerky - the kind in the bags. We bought two of it lol All in all, amazing experience. We'll be back when we're visiting again!!!“

“Parking: There is a parking lot that can fit about 10 cars. There is street parking..becuz the place is busy most of the time it is at times hard to park. But if you like to walk. There is always a place to park on Atlantic St.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is wheelchair accessible.“

The cocktail menu was creative and expansive, I plan to try the Cumin Centipede next time.My sister ordered a Ruby Red Manhattan, and my BIL something orange based, I don't recall.The drinks were complex and easy to sip, and very enjoyable, served quickly even on a busy Friday night.For food we ended up ordering the best pasta I had had in a very long time. Their Chicken meatball linguini was so flavourful and the perfect texture all the way through. I'm always fussy with cream tomato sauces but this one was downright delightful. Creamy, a little bit spicy, and just so so good.My sister ordered the field green salad, which had the best balsamic vinaigrette, the fried shallots were tasty too.BIL ordered the trout, which was also out of this world. It was a sizable portion and came on risotto, the brocolini was a little overbearing in size, but if that's the only thing to complain about then I will come again!!All in all, price wasn't awful, portions were solid, and everything was very tasty.“

“Neighborhood bar. They have a very nice menu. It has all the things. Chicken, sandwiches, salads and a very nice selection of burgers from a classic hamburger to a bacon blue cheese burger. The portion of fries use to be a bit bigger but I'm glad they slimmed down portion a bit. Their ranch dip is classic homemade tasting and not lite house brand. Their glasses are always spotless and their beer is always cold. Their mixed drinks are perfect. Not heavy handed but not just mixer either. The male waiter/bartender is always engaging and cordial. If you play video poker they have 7 or 8 machines. The have several large screens playing sports through out the bar. Tuesdays they have a taco/nacho bar, I've been once and it was great! Lots of options and fixins'. Prices are what you expect for a local bar in Parkrose.“

“It's a dive but a cozy, nice, dive. They have karaoke on some nights. Whoever is the chef right now made the BEST burger and caesar salad! I got the Lay Low burger and it was legit so fire! “The sandwiches and burgers here are so phenomenal I've been thinking about them for days after. There are a variety of beer styles -- not just IPAs -- and the beers on tap are excellent. If you're looking for a large tap list or frequent new things to try this isn't the place to go.“

“Fun atmosphere with lots of TV’s for all of the football. Portable, lottery and pinball. Simple eats but good. Bar was quick and solid. Bartender was friendly and service was him and also good. We had cocktails and nachos and watched some football. Nice stop in after walking around Multnomah Village. Food carts down the street. Parking is a bit dicey with no parking lot but we lucked out with parking right in front. Tons of pedestrians so keep an eye out.“

All looked good and the salads are large.Parking: Even with construction going on and some areas blocked off there is plenty of street and lot paid parking.“

It's definitely a local spot but I've only been there a couple times and maybe the bartenders will chat it up with their regulars but that's such a standard business practice. It's not going to be the "nicest" or "kiss your a**" type of place but that doesn't make it bad ? ... What is up with these reviews calling on this place to close? “Anchor Bar is simply a fun bar to visit.The staff are all very friendly and quick to get your orders taken and in, especially considering how busy they typically are. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the nachos, fried pickles, cheese curds, and the chicken wings. I love that they have video poker to play as well. Win or lose, you'll have fun.“

“Jimmy’s is a great neighborhood spot where everyone is welcome. The bartenders are friendly professionals, they have ALL the sports, including NFL Sunday ticket. No matter the time of year and/or one’s sports preferences, they always know what people want to watch, and have cool vibe tunes playing when there’s not a big game on. The food is mostly average bar food, but the specials and homemade soups are legit. The hand battered chicken tenders are one of my guilty pleasures. “Stopped in to check out the new menu and it did not disappoint. The watercress beef salad is soo good. Also got the lime beef because that's my husband's favorite dish here. We usually always get egg rolls and wings when we're here so we ordered that as well. Order a few shots, service was good. Started to get busy with customers so there was a bit of a wait. Place was clean but there was lots of gnats flying around when we were trying to eat. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.“

The rye bread was expertly grilled. Their signature sauce, combined with the exceptionally grilled patty and sautéed onions, produced the right amount of juiciness. I'm telling you, the Cully Melt is great! “Amazing spot super chill this place has everything, locals, bamboo plants and foliage on the patio, heaters outside, plastic chairs that look like wood, quiet time, sports games on the screens, hipsters who bring their own pool ques, video lottery in a dark place and wood tables that look like survivors from hurricane Katrina. This bar begs the question did you you come here to drink or to feel alive.“

“Good little dive bar. They have some beers at good prices, enough TV's that they can have Sunday Ticket, and the food is pretty good. I had the Chili Cheese Fries which were a good size and my buddy got a dog which I didn't try. Hot dogs are a little pricey for hot dogs, but looked good. Bartender was friendly too.“
