“Perfect date night with amazingly well prepared food. Appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed by the waiter or that the restaurant was trying to keep the guests revolving through as fast as they could. Was not expecting a few menu items with Asian flair, highly recommend pairing the chilled tom kha mussels and shrimp udon. Husband said oysters were the best he’s had. Really enjoyed having some different drinks to try, like skin contact wine and Amari. Will definitely be back!“

“This place is literally everything. The best sushi in town, for sure. But more than that, every time we walk in, Alex makes us feel warm and welcome. We have had an amazing experience every time we walk in that door. We've always loved Bamboo, but since Alex joined the team at this location, it's like walking into a warm hug. The staff is attentive, smiling, and helpful. The food is OUTSTANDING. As a chef from NYC, it's the best sushi I've ever had outside of the city (and probably even better!) Alex goes above and beyond to make her guests and her staff feel comfortable and happy. Only 5 stars because I can't give it 6. Eat here or you will regret it.“

The service is so friendly and fun to talk to. They would always check on us to see how we were We got our food in such great timing! I got the salmon and it was the best salmon I ever had. It was so rich and soft and seasoned well. The other appetizers and desserts were so good! I would come back again. I enjoyed my strawberry mint lemonade. We got the clam chowder and it was so so creamy and the salad was so good with the top of cashews.“

“I was in town sort of visiting after helping move my daughter and her boyfriend to the Portland area. we randomly met the owner of this restaurant and thought we'd give it a try after seeing the menu online. Instantly loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in to be seated!!! “My favorite Chinese restaurant in PDX. Great variety of menu items and everyone I've tried has been terrific. The hot pot is not to be missed. Had the beef one most recently and it was delicious and pretty spicy hot! Dumplings were great too. Has the atmosphere of a busy Asian restaurant. Not glitzy but clean and friendly. Highly recommend. And, you can at Yelp to remind you when to join waitlist so you get seated quickly.“

“What an unexpected surprise. We were celebrating husband's birthday. When we arrived, there were roses on the table and a card for him from the restaurant. Started off with their signature Focaccia Bread, which was wonderful. Then husband had the Lamb Osso Bucco and I had the Parm-crusted Sole. We are both raving about our dinners. There isn't anything bad we could say about either dish. Finished off with Chocolate Mousse and it was amazing. Next to the service - We were greeted warmly at the front door and seated immediately (reservations recommended). Our server Alex was amazing as well. Very attentive but not intrusive. Even David, the owner stopped by for a nice chat. This is a place we highly recommend and we will be back for sure many times in the future!“

“We LOVE this place! The oysters are fresh, the clams are flavorful and everything in between has been great! The staff is knowledgeable about where the oysters come from and what to expect on your flavor pallet. Service is quick and when they are busy, they set proper expectations. The space is rustic but really cool, especially walking off of a city street, it's definitely not what you expect!! We have gone as far as eating here twice in one day!“

“I have not tried the food, I picked up an order for delivery. The staff is friendly. The young lady who helped is super friendly and helpful. They have a super clean establishment. The men’s restroom was the cleanest restroom in Oregon. I mentioned the clean restroom and the young lady mentioned she cleaned it. Give her a big raise for keeping the place so clean.“

“Our first time trying The Fishwife Restaurant and all of the foods we tasted were delicious and presented well! We arrived for dinner just after five pm, and we were lucky to have been seated, as the restaurant was filled.We were immediately greeted and welcomed, followed by the menus being shared for our table. “This was probably one of the best meals I've ever had during my time in Portland. And I've lived here my whole life. The smoked Halibut and cheese board did most of the heavy lifting in that respect.The cocktails were very tasty.The Brussel sprouts and the bread were also fantastic. The sturgeon was delicious, except that the lemon caper sauce was a little bit bland. The Caesar salad was meh, and the salmon that we got with the salad was ordered medium but arrived rare.Over-all, I'll definitely be coming back, i just probably won't be getting the salad.“

“Until recently I worked on NE Broadway for nearly the last 5 years and have passed the place many a times and decided to stop in tonight to take myself on a solo dinner date. I am now kicking myself for sleeping on this place. What a cute, tucked away hidden gem! Sabrina was working the front of house and was an absolute sweetheart. I mentioned I was a lactose intolerant and pescatarian and she nailed it recommending the salmon salad. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the salad was fresh, and light while still hitting savory, sweet, acidic and a little nutty with the the feta. I enjoyed myself while dining alone but i’n looking forward to having a new date spot! Especially on the cute little patio while summer winds down.“

“Very nice experience. They were so helpful throughout our entire dinner. Managment was attentive to us and the meal was fantastic. The only criticism I would offer was that when the website says dress is business casual it would be nice to not see ballcaps and concert tshirts. “One thing I love about Portland is its food truck culture. I found this little place right here on Yelp. There's not a lot to say other than the fish was absolutely delicious, crispy, and hot. I had prawns, they're massive so 4 was definitely enough. The fries were seasoned and also hot when it received. You can get vinegar and other condiments. I liked the system overall in where you are given a pager that sets off, it helps with customer flow and allows you too look around the market while waiting. The owners are wonderful and very kind. Excellent service. I have this on my list to visit when I come to Portland again. 4/5“

“Just left the Salem Oregon location. It was so much better than what I was expecting. It’s not been open long so they’re still working out the kinks with servers and all that. But the bag o seafood was SPOT ON. It was all so good. I’m sure the longer it’s open the service kinks will be worked out. But it’s certainly very good food. Everything was delicious.“

“We visited Can Font on New Year’s Eve. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The food was authentic Spanish food and offered many options. Everything we ordered was delicious: Paella negra, Patatas bravas, Beet salad, Grilled octopus and delicious desserts such as cheesecake, arroz con leche and chocolate cake. My only suggestion is that they widen their beer selection to include Spanish brands like Estrella de Galicia, Mahou, Ambar (to name a few). Lastly, the service was not as good, maybe because it was a busy night, but I feel they should have foreseen this and planned accordingly. Will definitely return.“

“We had a lovely time at Piantino celebrating my son and his girlfriend‘s birthdays. Our waiter was attentive. It feels a bit rushed with the tight table times combined with my son and gf running a little late, and the tables are odd - oversized raw edges which are gorgeous but it feels like you're far apart. The seating times and all the communications leading up to it all creates some anxiety. I understand the need to turn tables, but at the prices and Quality of the dining experience it should feel more relaxed. There is also a weird thing that happens each time the front doors opened that changes the pressure in the room a slight opening of a window to relieve this pressure would prevent the ear-pressure popping sensation. I've noticed this before at this restaurant. My guests noticed it too. It's something I will consider before going back and is distracting. Food was good. Though my salmon was over cooked. The lamb papardelle is delicious. Will likely try again. But I want to like it more.“

“We stopped off at SeaSweets on a recent trip to Portland and hands down, they make the best poke bowls I've ever had. If you came here with 2 people or 20 people, they would seat you immediately. The type of thing you take a bite of and time slows down and a smile creeps onto your face and you just want to make the feeling last forever. And you say something like "aaah oh my god this is insane". But we expect to find something new like that every time we come, they always have at least 3-4 of the best things we've ever had on the menu at any given time no matter the season. I have this ranked 3rd overall only behind Nodoguro in Portland, which is 3x the price, & Robuchon in Vegas, which is 5x the price. Ahead of Kann, Langbaan, Tercet, Le Pigeon, Urdaneta, way ahead of Jacqueline, etc etc.--Update again: been here 5 or 6 times now and every single time it's Just Amazing. There're other places as good as this in Portland but all of them are twice the price (tercet, le pigeon, langbaan)--One of the best restaurants we've ever been to (#2 specifically), & the best in the PNW so far. So many interesting unique flavors, everything so creative and delicious. The scallops specifically were one of the best things I've ever had, also loved the octopus, the crab beignets, the root vegetable trio, the chocolate mousse. $75/person with 4 courses each.Update: Been here two more times and every time we come we have at least a couple new "one of the best things I've ever had" dishes. The new gnocchi with the belper knolle is about the most comforting thing I've ever had, the freakin burger is unreal. For the price, under $100 per person, I can't recommend any restaurant more highly than this“

“I actually dream about their crab in between visits. The large order is the perfect size for sharing and at an utterly reasonable price. The owner is a doll- a genuinely good person who will treat you right and feed you even better. The tables nearby have heaters in the winter and shade in the summer. Highly recommend!“

We ordered the saltado with steak and the ceviche as well. The steak was soooo tender. The sauce had good umami flavor. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Rice had such a good seasoned flavor. I will think about this dish for a while. The ceviche was also really good. I loved the mango and passion fruit to add sweetness. Our waitress gave us a nice table, and we ordered our food. It came surprisingly quickly and it was delicious. We couldn't finish all the food, so we took it home.In all, this was perfect experience. I really enjoy the panang curry and the pad see ew. For less adventurous souls the yakisoba and Thai peanut noodle are great dishes for people new to the cuisine. I always get Thai tea in the summer but I also enjoy the hot tea when I dine in. I am not partial to seafood textures but the flavor was great and I even tasted a scallop and enjoyed it. Spring rolls are served with a tasty peanut sauce.
