“I came here on a beautiful evening in Portland and really enjoyed sitting out in the patio overlooking the lake. You order at the counter with food brought out later. I opted for a grilled cheese which was served with prosciutto, honey and red pepper flakes which really hit the spot. I didn't check out the theatre but great spot for a meal on the water.“

“Good food, nice atmosphere, excellent service.Definitely on the expensive side, easy to spend $100-150/person for one or two glasses of wine and dinner. My biggest complaint, as other reviewers have noted, is the lack of transparency on prices of wine by the glass. Recommendations are given without mentioning the cost, so you have to ask for a price after each recommendation, and you have to rely on recommendations, since there's not a printed list to refer to.Nice, but once was enough for me.“

“We had patronized this restaurant before for Mother's Day dinner, and chose them for our Vallentine's dinner together this year. We were quickly seated near a window. We first got an appetizer of roasted cauliflower with cheddar cheese and bacon. It was really good. I ordered the shrimp scampi and she had a seafood dish called Cioppino. We have yet to be disappointed. Very nice staff and good food.“

“We had Susan as our server today and she was amazing! We were seated at what will now be called the Squeaky Table and we all had fun trying to find the source of the squeak, including Susan! So when you go, ask for Susan, ask for the Squeaky Table and definitely order the famous spinach salad. What a great lunch!!!! We will return soon, we never did find the source of the squeak.“

“Tavern on Kruse delivered an awesome Mother's Day experience for my mom. The French Sauvignon Blanc by the glass is a bargain. Food was delicious and portions generous. The dungeness crab and artichoke dip is amazing, and the Cubano one of the best I've ever had. Also, the service was excellent. AJ is very warm and personable and made my mom smile every time he came to the table. Only downside is that it's a bit loud and boisterous when totally full, but we were still able to hear each other and had a totally enjoyable dinner together.“

“I tried two pastas. They had a special for 2 pastas and a bottle of wine for $40. That is the price a full dish on their menu. The tomato base pasta was heavy with anchovy and olives. The other is a cream sauce with mushrooms and parmesan. Classic dishes that are done perfectly. With great mixed drinks and service that come with fine dining, I can't wait to return.“

“we came to arden for a friday night dinner. definitely recommend making a reservation. we ordered a couples glasses of wine with some recommendations from the server. their menu recommends wine pairings with their food too. we started with the foie gras. it had a delicious savory/sweet combo with a rhubarb jam. we got the burrata and carrots which were absolutely delicious with great flavoring, especially the dill. the summer creamy spaghetti was delicious with some mushrooms and peas. the steak was nicely cooked, and had a bit of a stroganoff/french onion vibe with the flavoring. would recommend if you're in the pearl district looking for some good food and wine!“

“Great Beer. Great Atmosphere. Great Food. Great Ownership. Enough said right there. But honestly we love this place. If we lived closer it would be a weekly ritual. All of their beers are delicious and they have a really great selection. You know those places that all their IPA’s taste the same? This is NOT Culmination. On top of that there owner is super friendly. Always down to talk beer and give you tasters. They have ample indoor space and patio space available. With the addition of FOMO chicken, now they have great food. Don’t sleep on Culmination Brewing, GO NOW.“

“We were out last night looking for some new & interesting dining and discovered this really trendy eatery . There atrium was magnificent to dine in as we ordered an Italian charcuterie board for our starter. We followed with a tequila Negroni that was sooo goooood Next was a yummy dish of prawns in a buttery sauce - they were cut thin with the whole prawn wow!!! Great service from the dining staff and 4 sure a repeater for us. Bon Appetite Ronn just Ronn The hole in the wall food guy“
“Great low-key atmosphere, rain or shine! Family and dog friendly. Tons of outdoor seating, dozens of brews on tap, and several food truck options. We opted for brews and 1/4 slices of Ranch Pizza's pepperoni pizza and breadsticks. Everything hit the spot, staff were kind and helpful, and on a Friday night there was live music on the patio. We'll certainly be back!“

“I heard tale of the cioppino. I've never been a big fan of mussels, but I thought I'd make the sacrifice to get the full intention of the chef. Good move! Like they say, "every once in a while, even a blind dog finds a bone." My daughter gave me a taste of her duck. Lawdhammercy. I will definitely return to experience more of Cabezon's magic.“

“Came for the no-frills vanilla soft serve and wasn't disappointed. It's not overly sweet while still maintaining a balanced creaminess, all while being fairly priced. Expect a bit of a line on warm evenings, as everyone is looking to get dessert.Wait time context/estimation:We hopped into line just outside of their windows, as it was wrapped out the door. We were in line for approx. 25 mins from our spot way outside their windows to ordering at the register. Our ice cream only then took a few minutes until it was ready.“

“Fuego Underground is indeed "Fire!" I've been to dozens of Speakeasy establishments in New York, Las Vegas, and even in Central America. Fuego Underground has easily become a top 5 favorite experience for me!It isn't secreted behind an unmarked door or hidden behind a business front, but it has an authentic feel of a Speakeasy from the 20s and 30s. The servers are dressed as flappers, and the interior of the Underground beneath De Fuego bar attached to the Monarch hotel in Clackamas is opulent yet tasteful and reminiscent of the era. There is live piano music at opening, and smooth jazz trios and featured artists later in the evening. The service is on point. Everyone embraces the spirit of the experience being created within the Fuego Underground. The cocktails are heavily weighted toward the whiskey and bourbon drinking crowd, yet all drinks are given the prohibition era spin in presentation. The entrees are predominantly various cuts of beef with some exceptions, and they are of equal quality to any high-end steak house in Portland. The sides are varied and better than most compared to, say, El Goucho or Ringside. I had a Gâteau au Chocolat for desert that was delicious! (even though I had to take it home and eat it 2 hours later for being so full!)Overall, it was an amazing experience! If you love a good Speakeasy, you HAVE to try Fuego Underground. If you just like great steaks and craft cocktails, this is a hidden gem with easy parking, but reservations are recommended. This place is popular and for very good reason.“

“Truly we LOVED this restaurant! It’s one of our new favorites. The place was packed on a Friday night of course but we walked in without a reservation and they were able to fit us in about 20-30 minutes. We had a cocktail while we waited. The service was amazing, everyone was super friendly and inviting, food was amazing! I had an amazing spring vegetable pasta and the crunch of the peas in it was soooo good! We will definitely be back!“

“The food is top quality, it takes a little to be done, but it's worth every minute, just arrive planning to wait a little bit.Everything is very tasty, from the meat to the vegetables, it's all full of flavor. There's also some desserts that are amazing to take home after you're done.Parking: There's very little parking close by, there's only a tiny place for about 4 cars, but there's street parking available.“

“We had a fantastic brunch at this adorable restaurant. They offer delicious gluten-free versions of favorites such as Eggs Benedict and Austrian pancakes. I also recommend the rose hip lemonade and can't wait to try their ginger beer. We sampled the gluten free onion rings, and we'll definitely return on future trips to Portland to sample more of their offerings.“

“I mean wow, so good. So incredibly good! I didn't realize that Plumb is the kitchen located inside of the bar (Deadshot). It was my first time experiencing something like this (maybe I need to get out more) and it was incredible. The food is made to order so patience is key but luckily theres an amazing bar with handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while you wait. We arrived right at 4pm on Saturday evening and were promptly greeted and seated. We opted for a seat right at the bar. I ordered a red wine and my husband ordered a Deadshot. Then we placed our food order. We ordered the cesar salad, grilled cabbage, burger and steak frites and everything was so incredibly good. Fresh, decadent, perfectly cooked and ever so tasty. Of the items we tried, the cabbage dish was our favorite. I've never had cabbage with bechamel, apples and hazelnuts. It was simply divine! Highly recommend checking this place out!“

“Yum! A friend recommended this place for the wine selection, which I don't drink, but she enjoyed it! The food was AMAZING!! Pros: Staff was friendly and accommodating Variety of food for any eaters! Great wine/cocktail/mocktail list Easy to get reservations Cons: 4th floor and the elevator has been broken for a while If you sit on the patio or by the west windows during sunset hours its REALLY bright and they don't close the curtains, but they do offer sunglasses!“

“It's such a fun little gem of a place!! The indoor space feels welcoming, and there are a ton of board/card games available and even a pool table. The food is stellar! Owners/staff are fantastic people. And since they're open until 4 AM. It's been a great place to go after work if you work the late shift!“

“Stopped in yesterday for some fries and a cocktail. Cocktail was amazing. After 35 minutes I noticed I still didn’t have the fries so I went inside to inquire. I was told my ticket was 5 tickets back leaving me to assume I would not have my fries for at least another 15-25 minutes. I didn’t have an hour to spend for fries, had I ordered an entree I wouldn’t be writing this review. They offered me a gift card or that they’ll buy me fry’s when I come back next but it’s like come on guys a gift card for frys… I’m good. Also $8 for fries is laughable to say the least. Two final pieces to finish on 1: don’t let someone order frys or any appetizers without letting them know it will be an hour. 2: the kitchen has gotta prioritize easy quick fire tickets, I’ve worked in kitchens for a long time and trust me if I’m on hour ticket times and I get a solo out fries, salad, etc. it will not be one of the hour tickets. Seriously shameful experience because dam that drink was good.“

“We decided to try Basilisk at The Zipper for a bite to eat, and it was my first time there. It's a food court concept with a central seating area surrounded by various restaurants and a bar. There was a short line that moved quickly, and the cashier/server was super friendly and helpful explaining the menu. I opted for the Chicken Sandwich with their signature hot sauce and a side of coleslaw. This sandwich is no joke! It's huge and incredibly flavorful. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the hot sauce had a good amount of heat that was balanced by the creamy coleslaw that had what I assume was roulade sauce in it. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! Highly recommended!“

“Preston is one of the kindest, most personable bartenders in the city, so glad LB was able to retain his talents. Give that man a raise.Beers are diverse; light sours are the main attraction, but plenty of IPAs, stouts + lagers as well. The lager is stellar. Nice to finally see some higher ABV options.Patio is great, dog friendly, both open air + more private options. The establishment encourages outside seating, which is nice to see when most places are practicing COVID denial.Lawless BBQ is no Holy Trinity, but damn good, and very reasonably priced. Happy Hour has some great deals!!All around great spot. Cheers!!“

“There might not be a better place to enjoy a drink and some food outside in the neighborhood. Their outdoor seating is very spacious and even wraps around to the back of the building, with some covered picnic tables and a firepit as well. If you wanted to give someone from out of town a great introduction to the city, I'd recommend bringing them here. The food was pretty good for bar cuisine — the chicken sandwich and tornado potatoes both stood out for flavor and value. It did come out of the kitchen quite quickly too, given how busy it was.Front of house staff, especially the bartenders, were amazing. Drinks were quick and if more than a beer and a shot, well made. Prices were mostly reasonable the drinks, although, I would argue that there's cheaper places nearby. Then again, none of them quite have their outdoor space as well stocked as The Rambler, so saving a couple dollars does have its cost. All in all, I'd definitely recommend a visit, no matter the weather.“

“Great selection of original desserts. Loved the bourbon ball, which is perfect for dark and intense chocolate lovers. The baked alaska was a bit too sweet and was different to the ones I had elsewhere. Cappuccino was tasty. The location is great and the indoor space is large. Prices were also very reasonable given the great quality of the desserts. I plan to revisit to try different desserts. ?“

“I live in this area and never really noticed this restaurant from the outside because the exterior is nothing special and the dim lighting inside doesn't give you a hint of the festivities inside. But after reading about it on a website for best Italian restaurants, I went for dinner with a friend. We sat at the counter (and were able to order ala carte, there was no tasting menu only). Overall, the vibe is friendly neighborhood restaurant that's a bit high-end. The dishes are bit pricey (and like some people said already, the portions, especially the antipasti, are on the small end) but the flavors and cooking are really well done. The pasta of course was perfectly fresh (we had the agnolotti) and the pork tomahawk special of the day ($53) was an interesting mix of pork chop and chorizo. Service was super attentive, but like others said, maybe too attentive because they check on you so often that at one point I felt I couldn't really enjoy the meal with all the interruptions. I can see how this is a great place to celebrate a special occasion and the quality is first rate, people just need to be prepared for what it is, which is slightly smaller dishes at premium prices. With an Italian menu, there are several courses (like a primi and secondi) so if you want to do all courses, including desserts, then probably can share. But if you're not planning to do multiple dishes, then the serving size is good for one person.“

“First time here and definitely coming back! Greeted immediately, we had a reservation so seated quickly. Looking forward to nicer weather to enjoy their outside area. All the employees were very friendly. Our server was funny and very knowledgeable. For an appetizer we shared the whipped feta with pistachios. I found it bland and pita a bit dry so would skip it next time. My guest and I each enjoyed the Lakeside Burger. It was delicious and a super big serving! It came with scrumptious truffle fries. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. And the wine was good too! Sorry, forgot to take pictures.“
