Great Shopping Center! Everyone here is super cool, helpful, and friendly. Wonderful place to shop for groceries. Surprisingly, most everytime I've shopped here- it's been very peaceful with low volume of people in the store- Better Ease of Shopping. Would highly recommend getting Raymond as a cashier- super cool dude who genuinely cares how your day is going and wants to make it that much better! Thanks for the awesome experience Ray! Cheers!

Only 1 cashier today, for the 5 person long line and all of the self check out! Where was the other checkers???

I don't even know where to begin with how bad this place is for its employees. Let me start by saying that this particular store is NOT fulfilling its founder's (Joe Alberson's) mission to provide "tender, loving care" to its customers and employees. The management is some of the worst I've ever seen. One of the front managers is constantly in a bad mood, negative, fault finding, and rarely if ever gives her staff positive feedback. The turnover rate of the front staff (cashiers, store clerks, and even managers) is unbelievable. Employees will be there a month and quit, most citing that they cannot work in the environment that this front manager creates. This manager wants her employees to come to her and not go over her head, but she is never available, never follows up, and terrifies the staff who work under her. That this person is allowed to stay in her position only makes the general store manager look terrible. Does she not notice the high turnover rate of the front staff? And no, it's not because of the job duties, it's because of the oppressive, negative, work environment. They all talk about it amongst themselves, and eventually leave, citing that she is the reason. I made it there for two years (one of the longest tenures of the front end staff), when my health started to deteriorate. My only regret is that I stayed there that long. Parents, do not let your kids work here. They'd be better off at McDonald's or Taco Bell. I watched how the young high school kids were treated by this front end manager, and it's horrific. They don't have enough life experience to go to the Union and complain, but if they did, there'd be a large group of employees with the same complaint. Do better, West Union Albertson's. Joe would be ashamed.
