“Everything about this delii was on point. It brought back memories of my days as teenager working in a Jewish bakery! Every baked g I I'd was just as I remembered. Our delicious sandwiches were humongous. My husband and i grew up in Philky and never knew this deli existed, what a treat as we were visiting for a wedding. Everything was fresh. It was a wonderful experience! We will make this stop whenever we're in the city.“

Almost hidden in the Jewelers' Row District is a small, hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop that will have you leaving with a big impression: their hoagies are just fantastic! I ordered a 10" roast beef hoagie with lettuce, onion, tomato, hot peppers, provolone, and mayo, and almost had difficulty finishing it because the sub was packed! Everything tasted fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised that the hot peppers actually had some heat to them.Pam, who rang me up, is a very sweet person, and the shop is run by her and Joe. The owners recommend calling in to place orders as it takes some time to slice everything fresh, and today they actually sold out early afternoon as I was finishing my hoagie. “This hoagie shop delivers quality (Deitz & Watson) lunch meats with a smile! You can have your hoagie made by them, or buy the rolls and lunch meat to make your own at home. When I order my hoagie I ask her to make it the opposite way she makes others, which is the correct way to make the sandwich. For some reason she thinks the lettuce and veggies should go on first, then cheese and lunch meat. I know I won't be able to eat a whole hoagie in one sitting and I'll have to wrap half back up for later. If the lettuce is what makes contact with the bun, the hoagie will be soggy later on. For me it should be cheese, meat, lettuce and veggies (on top) in that order. Picky? I think not. I ask for this because I like her shop and I want to support her small business, she doesn't mind at all. If you want your sandwich made the conventional way, you'll have to ask.While the worker or owner are making my sandwich, I check out what she has in her store. I like to get a big pickle, chips, and rice pudding. I get the rice pudding immediately because there may only be a few and someone else might choose this popular dessert. I check her freezers for good tv dinners and for water ices. The water ice is pre-portioned and prepackaged but still yummy. It's easy to just grab one. There Are other groceries available here, so I can grab what I need quickly.The owner is super nice, I consider her my friend. Always pleasant and smiling, I'm happy to give her my business at every opportunity. So, try calling ahead because the shop can be busy, and enjoy a banging sandwich from party time!“

“This place rocked on lunches for when we were fixing up our new home, I guess you can say I'm a regular now. Coffee is the best corner store coffee I ever had. I have a coffee pot, but I prefer theirs. Snacks are always fresh, never stale, and lunch meat is awesome. Great prices, very clean place, great people that welcome you in, and they have my favorite coconut mexico popsicles that are fairly priced considering. Great place. I'm not crazy about their ATM machine though. I havnt been able to figure out how to bypass the balance check, and unfortunately I get charged a fee for that, plus withdrawal. Comes out to be $7 to take money out from that atm. Just make sure you go with cash. Other then that, the place is great!!“

“Great little place in south Philly a few minutes from I-95. Parking is a little tough. There is a small lot nearby. The SMALL steak is HUGE. $20 for a steak, coleslaw, and a drink. Cash only. I was there mid-afternoon and there was a line. Food came out fast. There was a picture of Babe Heffron and Bill Guarnere (101st Airborne) over the counter. When I said something, the entire group became incredibly friendly and shared a few stories about them.“

The italian had a great variety of quality meats and had a perfect ratio of meat to toppings. The OMG cutlet was simple but tasty- we chose the grilled version and it was like a caprese salad in a hoagie. Would return for sure to try another style. “I normally don't get eat lunch during the day. But today I needed something to give me so extra fuel. I decided to grab a Caesar Salad from this place. They were nice enough to add grilled mushrooms when I asked. I really enjoyed the home made croutons that came on the salad as well. I don't think this neighborhood deli gets the credit they deserve. The menu is packed full with wonderfully deli items both hot and cold. If your looking for a great meal, skip the the grease pits and crappy corner stores. And order something from here. Truly one of the best Deli's in West Philly.“

“4 minutes ago NEW Today I ordered a hoagie through grub hub, but when I received my order there was a mistake. After a quick call to the deli I was able to speak with one of the employees (who was very nice, professional and apologetic even though I know we all make mistakes and there were no hard feelings) but she and the manager were able to correct the order and even redeliver themselves! When I received the correct order and opened the bag they had a very sweet message with a nice treat to enjoy later. I rarely leave reviews and I feel as though most people focus on the negatives but this time I wanted to really highlight GREAT costumer service and their delicious food!
