Whenever I return to Charleston for a trip, this will be the place I stop at for the rest of my life. This is that true coastal southern cooking, no nonsense, and affordable! The staff treat you like you are family stopping by and the food is just damn delicious lol. My buddies and I took a week trip to Charleston having never been before, and of all the places we ate this is the one that left a mark. While in the area, wanted to fill up on good Southern soul food and heard this was the place. It didn't disappoint. Started off with some fried chicken liver, yum. Then got bbq ribs with yams, rice n gravy and a side salad. Everything was delicious, like a home cooked meal. Ribs were super tender with a delicious sauce. Service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The food was as good as my Nana and Cousin Odessa's cookin' - delicious! Gabe was our hostess and her service was excellent! The ambiance included good music, beautiful wall art, pictures and of course our joy and laughter shared with everyone. Our drink will always be the "Dirty Obama!" Celebrating three birthday's, we were serenaded with Stevie Wonder's HBD song sung by everyone in the place! Thank y'all for the best dining experience of our SC visit!
