Yes the collards were very good. Typical baked potato, Mac was ok, the ribs had good flavor and sweet cornbread. The whole hog was cooked well but tried to do to much with the flavor as this took away from the smoked flavor. I’m a big vinegar sauce guy and I will say that was some of the better sauce I’ve had. Definitely had a chain restaurant vibe to it. But overall not a bad place to grab a bite to eat.
On Friday May 3, 2024 I visited the Rodney Scott's location on Main Street in Trussville, Alabama.The dining experience was incredible! Pretty good amount of food for the price.Ordered two 2 meat combos. Whole hog, ham, hush puppies, mac n cheese & Pulled pork, pulled chicken, baked beans, collard greens. (& 2 sweet teas).Tastes great, came out fast, plenty of seating, parking at the Food Lion next door.
