“I go here a good bit. Staff is always friendly and service is always great! I love when there is live music it always makes for a good time. They recently got rid of the boiled peanuts which makes me so sad because they were me and husband's favorite bar snack along with the Owl toes!“

“If you're near the pineapple fountain at the waterfront park in Charleston and in the mood for some good food and drinks, this is the place to go. The food here is always fresh and delicious; especially the fish and chips. The place is covered in dollar bills left by prior guests with lots of interesting drawings on them so your eyes will never get bored. The bar itself is a little small, but most go here for the food and dining area anyways. The only thing that was lacking was the absence of any air conditioning, so it was quite humid and warm inside. Other than that, I would definitely recommend coming here for a quick bite to eat and some beers along with it.Parking: Free street parking around the neighborhood.“

“I started coming here when I was remodeling a house near by. I had the best fried pork chop I’ve ever had and we visited more often than not for lunch for the remainder of the project. Bar food has gone so down hill everywhere and every single time I go here it is just magical (bacon cheese fries with jalapeños tonight). We love seeing Amy but we had mike and Josie behind the bar tonight and we had such a stress relieving late night app, drink, and listened to some karaoke that had people dancing. My glass stayed full and we brought home amazing leftovers. I really think places like this need all the recognition. “Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The hostess was polite. Tyler (server) explained the menu and specials right away. He checked on us in a timely manner after each course. Our desserts were delivered to us by the manager Don. It was our anniversary and everyone made sure to tell us Happy anniversary. We got the signature hot rock as our appetizer. It was delicious. My husband got the dry aged ribeye and ai got the scallops. Both were cooked perfectly. We will be back!“

“Uptown Social is a great spot for watching sports, I typically go at least a few times during the NFL season and it's also a really good for March Madness. Along with the super large main floor, they also have an upstairs rooftop bar with a few TVs as well. The food is pretty standard bar food along with some pizzas and other options. One perk is that they have gluten free bread available to sub out for the sandwiches. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries on the gluten free bread. It was pretty good and hit the spot while watching some basketball.“

We were never without drinks, and while there was a small wait for our entrees, she kept refilling our sides and even offered us a discount for the wait. We really weren't worried about the wait time, it was really very short and we were having such a a good time, we honestly barely noticed. But as someone in the industry, it meant the absolute world to me that our server was so patient and sweet to us. Could not have asked for a better dining experience ?“
