“Parking: There are two areas to park. The closest being for those with any form of disability. And another some feet away for general parking. Service: The service was very good. With this being our first time here, the servers were patient with us and answered every question that we had. They also gave their recommendations on what they like which I appreciate. Food: Food was outstanding! My family and I tried a little bit of everything. I tried to take photos of everything but sadly that can attest to how good it was. The buffalo shrimp was good, Camp rolls amazing, and so was the grouper bites! The Hushpuppies were also delicious. Main dish I ordered was the shrimp and grits which was cooked to perfection in my opinion. There was an option to add scallions and I had to choke to have them blackened which was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. That was the best scallions I've ever had! The dessert options was overwhelming because I wanted to try everything, but I resorted to the bourbon chocolate pecan pie which was very flavorful! Ambiance: Ambiance was great. We had a seat outside in the shade where the weather was perfect with sweet tea in hand. Another thing I'd like to point out is how clean the bathroom was which I feel a lot of places need to add attention to. Though it was warm outside the bathroom was clean, cold, and smelled amazing. Opportunities: We tried the greens as a side and we weren't a fan of them. That, in my opinion won't deduct any points from me since everyone does theirs differently and I'm sure someone will like it. Overall: We went there for a celebration and I'm glad that we did. The food, customer service, and the staff were amazing. I can't wait to make my return there for the camp rolls, scallions, or possibly something new! Also if the staff needs any photos for yelp please don't hesitate to ask!“

“Erica, Josie and Alex are extraordinary. We don't get by there hardly ever anymore, but we went on a 90 mile trip today to get Matzo ball soup for my wife's employers, who are under the weather. The team at the deli always goes above and beyond to facilitate the needs of the customer and the food is always top notch.“

“Went here for a friend that is a barista back home… I was able to find something to eat for all of us and the blueberry lemonade was delicious! The Nutella muffin was a huge hit for my toddler. There is outside as well as inside seating. Everyone was friendly, too! The salad portion is large and filling and delicious! Definitely a must go.“

“My first time here! I was welcome and served by Ms. Brandy. I was welcomed and seated very quickly. The menu has plenty of choices for seafood lovers, kids, and non-seafood meals. I ordered the combo basket which had shrimp and fish. The order came with a healthy portion of fries. I also got a side order of chips and salsa! The food was very fresh. Came out hot. But the flavor of the food was wonderful!!! I can tell the oil used to fry in is clean and fresh. It didn’t have that old dirty oil taste. It was wonderful! The home made tarter sauce was great! Probably they best I’ve had. Only complaint was that I wanted more! It was a good portion of sauce. However, the portion of salsa could have been more generous. But I’m sure if I would have asked for more they would have given me more. Brandy took great care of me and kept my glass filled and checked in on me just enough, but not too much. She was a very busy bee. She was serving inside and outside and never slowed down. She’s a very attentive waitress and I enjoyed her company and service. Lovely place and I hope I get the opportunity to come back again with my family. I wouldnt change a thing about my meal or the food. Only thing I can suggest is to wipe the walls down next to the tables. It’s a seafood place so I can only assume shuckin and shellin gets messy.“

“We love this place! The ice cream is delicious and the customer service is usually pretty good. Tonight we showed up at 7:30pm (they close at 8) and the tables were already packed up for the night. I asked the staff and they said the seating was already closed for the night. Which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but it’s very hard for our two year old to eat her ice cream in her car seat. I get wrapping things up 5-10 minutes before closing but 30 minutes before?? Great ice cream if you’re looking for something to go.“

Maybe it's "different" for some, but let me just say if you want to know what it's like to go eat at grandma's house in the south then just come by Baker's have them fix you a plate. Go early though or they may be out of the BBQ or the brisket. Good home-cooked southern cooking in a darling location with antiques, plants, and a huge koi fountain pond! “Very pleasant place with very competent and kind managers. Huge choice of wines. It's impossible not to stop for a break and taste what the place has to offer. Summerville is one of the most human-friendly and prettiest towns we have visited in 1100 miles driven.“

“It is an old ice house and a very comfortable feeling inside. The hamburgers are the best we have ever gotten here. Waitress was attentive and personable. “Chinese is my go-to comfort cuisine as I love the pastas, meats, dim sum, rice all with interesting and unique combinations. The trouble with being a bad food junkie is I've been hooked on certain aspects and my palate isn't happy until that craving has been satisfied. Just like America where you have regional delicacies like Southern shrimp and grits, Pennsylvania scrapple and northeastern lobster rolls for instance, China also has food that is very regionalized. Therein lies some of my issues locating my favorite dishes but when I do it can be a very rewarding experience. I've lived in 5 states within 20 years, and I'm a former chef. I say that to quantify the following, I've had some bad, Americanized and generic Chinese food. To the point it's almost as if most restaurants buy frozen food, throw it in a pan, not a wok, and serve it. However, when I find a restaurant that's authentic and makes a true effort, I'm hooked, which leads me to this review of The Taste of Asia Bistro. I thoroughly scanned all the Chinese and Asian restaurants in the greater Summerville area until finally I found something that's difficult to find - Beef Chow Fun which originated from Guagzhou in the south of China. That was the catalyst in my decision to select this restaurant. I was in town visiting so I was picking up not dining in. The restaurant itself is very easy to access however I can imagine parking might be difficult at busier times. Walking up was deceiving as it looked like a dainty and timid establishment devoid of traditional Chinese themes like hard red colors, Buda sitting somewhere, paper balloons you get the idea. Instead, the tables & chairs are dark & tan wood with the walls hiding recessed lighting enhancing three tones while some have a large leaf patterns or spirals. It's a very low-key vibe inviting soothing energy. Immediately in front is the well-stocked bar and a hostess station with some of the nicest employees I've ever meet. I believe the older lady was the owner and as sweet as could be. To quote Sun Tzu "Great results can be achieved with small forces" which sets the table (pardon the pun) for the star of the show. My mother was driving so I got an appetizer of shrimp tempura. Bare in mind tempura is more delicate than "fried shrimp" and they knocked it out the park. The shrimp were large, perfectly battered, airy, crispy and not greasy at all. They gave us a sauce but honestly my mother and I each ate three before we got home. They're that good. The spring rolls were extremely satisfying as well. While I love egg rolls I'm not a fan of all the excess dough, which is why fried spring rolls, which are wrapped in a thin rice paper can be more balanced. The stuffing was almost great but I would have preferred my filling to be "al dente" which means it has a slight crunch to it. Almost perfect. Lets talk the stars of the show, the dinners. As I alluded to earlier some dishes can be difficult to find like Beef Chow Fun as 90% of Chinese restaurants don't serve it. So, when I opened up the container, I was immediately ecstatic as I missed the broad noodles (think Italian pappardelle). The beef is toothsome but not gummy, simmered in a rich Chinese gravy. The bean sprouts had a nice crunch and the green onions offered a hint of heat but earthiness. The dish was outstanding. I ordered my mom the Lo Mein with full knowledge I would sample hers too. Another smash hit other than the noodles weren't round yet tapered edges. That's important as pasta shapes affect the taste even though the ingredients are the same. Trust me, it makes a difference. However, this concern was almost completely forgotten as the flavor again was on the money. The vegetables weren't limp and all of the components had a nice char to them, indicating a well-seasoned work used extremely high heat to cook the dish and an added benefit is it adds that smokiness we all love. “We got their lunch specials today and for the price the food amount was great! I would highly recommend stopping by for lunch time. Both the hibachi and sushi rolls were very fresh and delicious. Get the yellowtail roll for sure! The staff was quick and very polite 10/10 service.“

“This is absolutely the best welcome home after living in Austin for 3 years to taste the brisket coming out of this restaurant literally had my tongue on fiesta. Louise was there I couldn't have asked for a better experience and one of the things that I have to tell you about service and restaurants is the time they take to make sure you get a great experience come check out the margaritas and the atmosphere I will tell you the casa vera was off the chain! “This was our first time at Agaves. I had the Pepe’s burrito, which was very good. My only thought is that the sauces were all at the bottom of the burrito. My son had the cheesesteak burrito. He gulped it down and is still talking about how good it was. My wife had the salmon. She loved it.“
