She took the time to hear about my day and took it upon herself to turn it around. She ensured I got the freshest of my childhood favorite, an Apple Fritter. She is the reason I will be back.“

My previous favorite cafe (Oracle Coffee on the S Waterfront) sourced their beans from Terrain, and unfortunately went out of business.Truly some of the best light-to-medium roasted coffee you can find. Reliably sourced, locally roasted, and with great single origin and blend options whether you prefer more fruit-forward or nutty tastes. If you aren't sure where to start an oat milk cortado is my go-to!“

“I had the Golden Latte which is their house coffee. The presentation was great and the temperature was just right. My first sip I could feel in my throat and I felt my energy move down through my heart and up through my crown. About halfway through the cup the throat is where I felt the most strongest energy. The second half of the cup I felt very grounded and balanced by the time it was finished. Great cup of latte!!!!“

“Servers seem more busy here than at other locations. They still have that overall almost sickly sweet "Dutch customer service" even when it's a large line. Although, they sometime forget a topping on my drinks, especially if I order more than 1. I wish they would implement an online order system since I regularly buy multiple drinks at once and that would be easier for me.“

“This was my first time visiting! I came to get a coffee for my sister’s first Mother’s Day, which also happened to be her birthday! They provided the BEST service, and gave this drink to me for free!! Definitely recommend, and it’s super cute too. I’ll be back for sure!“

“I judge coffee places based on how well they can make a chai latte. Usually coffee houses make an average tasting one but this place is amazing. They just make their own chai blend or use a really good quality chai tea for it because it's the most flavorful chai I ever had.“

Fair Trade is only as good as your knowledge of the Industry.Tim and Jen have traveled extensively and know the growers in regions where they source their beans. The true experience is when you are sipping the brewed coffees which are roasted precisely according to the profles of the coffee, the region and cupping process in house.There are lots of coffees I love in the NW. BJ's has a heart for the PEOPLE who are boots on the ground at the plantation levels where the heart of the bean begins. Their heart for the growers is evidenced with thier knowledge of each region and coffee they source for their buyers here, in the retail level. I have purchased thousands of pounds of coffee for 30 plus years from BJ's coffee and have never been dissatisfied. One of my favorite Roasters of many roasters, but my go to at the end of the day!“

“Dutch Bros everywhere are delicious, so that's a given. This particular Dutch Bros has staff outside to take your order so by the time you get to the window, your drink is done. This has to be the fastest drive thru I've ever been to, and I've gone several times.“

Excellent friendly and knowledgeable service combined with perfectly fresh roasted coffee and superior equipment have literally changed my morning cup of coffee. The coffee I have daily, at home, is better than anything most coffee shops can offer me. My new Moccamaster coffee maker was an investment but in the long run I am saving so much time and money...skipping the coffee shop stop a few times a week. “Coffee was good, croissant was excellent and general feel of the place was good…pet peeve: there are 4 employees working 3 stations on a moderately busy day and not one has thought to clean the outside tables in the 30 minutes I’ve been here. Why advertise “we have lots of outdoor seating” and leave this orange sitting on a table all morning? It’s off putting.“

“I use to work at Columbia Bank down the street years ago and have stopped by Compass Coffee in the past. I usually drink Starbucks for the consistency and low calorie options. Today at Saturday Market I stopped by and purchased a cold brew with a little brown sugar and splash of oatmilk. I caught myself, mmmmmm 3x because it was so stickn good! Hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had that didn’t have lots of sugar. Compass coffee is fantastic by itself. I will be coming back here and they have a new regular ?“

“I've only been to this Peet's twice since it is very inconveniently located for me, but the service both times was friendly and the coffee drink and pound I took home were wonderful. Now- let's get to the real thing. Where is the Peet's from Salmon Creek??? Why in the world would they remove a thriving coffee shop and leave our town with just one??? I HATE driving 25 minutes all the way over to this one. There are more traffic lights than anyone can count. What a waste of time and gas. C'mon, corporate... let's get you guys back to the northwest end of town and SOON!“

“Went tonight 10/5/23 for much needed caffeine, saw that a new sticker dropped yesterday, I asked if I could have one. The guy ended up giving me his own sticker because they were gone. He 100% did not have to do that, it was so nice and I really appreciated the customer service. All 3 people working were super nice. Glad I could make them smile by having my cat and dog in the car with me. Thank you guys!“

“I really like their coffee. It's nuclear hot, so be sure to ask for a lower temp if you don't like it that hot. Also, their staff are all very knowledgeable, nice, and appreciated, however please be aware of customers who don't feel like small talking. Case in point, we were on our way to the hospital. My sister is dying, do I want to discuss this with a total stranger, even if she is sweet? NO. Would she pick up that we didn't want to talk, NO......so what are you doing today? Any plans? On and on and on. Please use this as constructive input, not a nasty gram. We are returning customers that would just like a little training to have your staff read your customers better. It's happened more than once.“

“I have loved blackrock since 2009 when they opened their first store in Vancouver. They make adorable coffee shops and they make good coffee. They also offer snacks, especially at the sit-down locations. The drive-thru only locations have less snack options, but still make good coffee! I don’t usually wait very long when I go in. Nice people!“
