Potluck Café Society Catering

Our company uses Potluck for our company staff meals, we get a rotating daily menu. At first it was great but quality has declined, food is bland, watery, portions smaller, rice is hard and dry. I overheard the delivery driver mention he will bring back any leftovers from our office for their catering and office staff to consume as their staff meal, I thought that was weird because the food would have been sitting out for more than 4 hours. This also explains why there would be full trays left in the warmers intentionally so they can save money by bringing back leftovers. I really hope this is not true, hopefully, the potluck staff is aware that they are eating leftovers and do so by choice. I hope our company would look at other caterers for variety because the quality is not good at potluck..

Absolutely Stellar Experience with Potluck Catering!
Our organization recently had the pleasure of working with Potluck Catering for a large event (150 guests) held at the beautiful VanDusen Gardens, and we were absolutely blown away by their service! From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional.

First off, the food was simply delicious – everyone raved about it! And we only served vegan/vegetarian. But what truly set Potluck apart was their incredible attention to detail in presentation. They incorporated lovely touches like flowers, twinkle lights, and elegant signage, which really elevated the atmosphere of our event.

They were perfectly punctual and handled all the logistical aspects flawlessly, even working seamlessly within the specific limitations of the venue. What impressed us most, however, was how they consistently went above and beyond. The planning and coordination team were incredibly patient and helpful, especially considering we were organizing things from out of town. On the day of the event, the delivery and wait staff were not only kind and respectful but also proactively helped with tasks beyond their scope, like clearing and stacking dishes, and even packing up leftovers in containers they thoughtfully provided.

Potluck didn't just cater our event; they genuinely contributed to its success with their professionalism, helpfulness, and outstanding service. We cannot recommend them highly enough! If you're looking for a caterer that delivers fantastic food, beautiful presentation, and truly top-notch service, look no further than Potluck. Five stars all the way!

We chose Potluck because of the social impact and we so happy that the food was delicious, beautiful, and the service was great. Our event was for 100 people with a mixer for 150. Many people commented on how amazing the bar tenders were and the sandwiches were perfect.

Our event had a lot of challenges - changes of plans, unexpected hiccups. However, Potluck were incredibly generous and accommodating when things needed to change.

Being from out of town and planning an event at a location you don't know using caterers you've never heard of is always a daunting task. Well look no more! The food was absolutely scrumptious and my guests we're extremely impressed by the quality of the food! Some of my guests even asked for a referral. 5 stars, 10/10 and all that!

One thing I suggest, order a bit of extra. It literally flew off the plates.

And then after placing the order, I find out it's a non-profit that actually gives back to the community? Why would I ever look anywhere else!?

We used Potluck Catering for a conference for 200+ people. We received lots of positive feedback on the food and they were also able to accommodate all of food restrictions (gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, etc)The food and service was fantastic and we will definitely use them again in the future.

It is absolutely one of the best collaborations. From the moment we reached out and started planning our monthly events, which hosts seventy guests, their team was incredibly competent and collaborative. They truly listened to our vision and helped us create a menu that was delicious and aligned with our values and our budget.
The tapas, platter, and salad-style food itself are absolutely delicious. Every dish and the buffet are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Our guests are incredibly impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. The Potluck server became a part of our serve team and does a phenomenal job.

We hired Potluck for our wedding after seeing they had a great price and that they do a lot of good work on the DTES. We mostly communicated with Anissa, who was great, and everyone else we spoke to was also friendly and helpful. During our tasting we got to meet some of the team and coordinate our day plan that went of without a hitch. It was pretty hands off on the day of which was great and we got a lot of compliments on how good the food was. I would recommend to anyone and use them again.
