What an amazing little hidden gem this is! Somas is SO PERSONABLE and kind! The food was incredible and the service is unlike anything we've experienced in Banff in YEARS! We tried the fried chicken (very crispy and delish), Ottawa Senators wings (Buffalo blue cheese), Toronto Maple Leafs wings (apple butter mesquite), Vancouver Canucks Wings (garlic parm), straight fries (thick and crispy), yam fries (delightful and the dip was incredible), curly fries, and then he took my leftover fries and turned them into Jaffa fries (ranch, garlic pepper, red onion and chillies!- um yes please!!! GET IN MY MOUTH!!!) All in all- an amazing food experience!

The locals best kept secret. These wings are amazing. The owners are so kind. Get off the Main Street of Banff where you are overpaying for mediocre food and head over to this little wing shop in the middle of Banff’s behind the scenes industrial district. The prices are exactly what my family needed. Our kids loved the BBQ wings and me and my husband loved the honey hot! They are very large wings and breaded to perfection! So they are super filling.
We even saw a rescue helicopter return across the street after!

We got the wings (buffalo, hot Parmesan, and the Montreal Canadian) and they were so good! Loved the cheap prices for a whole pound of wings. The crispy breading was delicious as were the sauces. Favorite was the hot Parmesan. We also got the jaffna fries and they were good too.
Super Friendly and the best wings 🪽 I've had in a long time. So many flavors! If you like a little heat dont skip the Jaffna wings and fries. Going back for second time.

Definitely stop here if you enjoy chicken wings! It’s in the industrial part of Banff, but well worth a stop. The gentleman helping us was very conversational and friendly and you could tell he appreciated us stopping in.
And the wings, some of the best we’ve tried anywhere lately. The size of the wings were great and the amount of sauce and crunch on the wings were perfect. We did the hot lemon ranch wings and the 1 lb order was enough to fill us both up. Also, don’t forget to try the Jaffna Fries if you enjoy spice. A very large portion and the heat from the peppers on the fries was perfect.
This is a great spot to stop for a quick lunch or appetizer if you want to avoid the main rush of the touristy part of the town of Banff!

We ordered a chicken wrap and wings.
The chicken in the wrap was not whole chicken pieces but processed chicken meat, like what you would find in a chicken nugget. Had a horrible spongy texture.. that is disappointing
Chicken wings were very overcooked, dry and chewy. Sauce was put directly on the wings instead of on the side for dipping so instead of being crispy they were soggy.
Fries were pretty good and owners are friendly though but thats about it
