Update: I made it back recently and this time DID enjoy GF gravy with my fries! Still an Affordable gem in the heart of Banff. Fries are delicious and gluten free fryer so safe for celiacs. Usually have gravy option that is GF, but not the day I was there so haven’t tried it. Mainly counter service and takeout, there are tables outside on Bear St. Have burgers and hotdogs but I did not have them. Don’t know if celiac friendly.

I had a smoked meat poutine today. The gravy itself tastes really good but the fries are not crispy and the smoke meat doesn't taste any smoke flavor ( I would say it is more like corn beef). Overally just fine

This is some legitimate Quebec poutine. Perfectly cooked fries, great gravy and a generous dose of squeaky cheese curds. Delicious. . . . Dogs are great too.

Both times(two years apart) I have been to Banff, they were closed.
What’s worse, they come in to the shop JUST TO CHANGE WHEN THE CLOSED SIGN. We stopped by on Saturday to see the sign read “closed” but open the rest of the week. We retuned Sunday, and the sign had been changed to read “closed”. We retuned Monday, same thing. Finally, we retuned Tuesday and they had changed the sign to show closed the rest of the week. How the heck do they say in business??

Being from Chicago I really wanted the Montreal smoked meat sandwich we have a lot of smokeked brisket but honestly it was ham I got to believe the owner he gets it from Montreal I can have smoked ham anywhere fries were great fresh cut the place was spotless really clean

Couldn't wait to go back after we tried the smoked meat sandwich last time we were in banff. Amazing! So tasty. Great rye bread. Great crispy REAL fries. The guy is super nice and made sure we had lots of condiments. Next time we will try the poutine.

We stopped in because reviews said they were the best around and tasted like Montreal poutine. The reviews are right! It's a super small shop with the best staff and the best poutine! We were greeted immediately, and our classic poutine was made fresh and fast. We ordered a large poutine to share, it was generous and reasonably priced. When we left the shop we were thanked again. The Saturday crew is the best! Definitely stop in, they won't disappoint.

The cheese curds are squeaky. That's how you know they're good. Fries are cut thick. Gravy is salty but not too salty. Prices are reasonable for a ski town. Nice little shop.

The restaurant was a great experience. The gentleman working there was very friendly, welcoming, and warm, which made us feel comfortable right away. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. Highly recommend!
This place is epic! After stopping in to try the ground meat and onions poutine (which was delicious) I've been back several times and have tried a few other things that were all very good! One of the best classic cheeseburgers I've ever had and at a super reasonable price!
Being one of the only independent business owners in the area wouldn't be easy but Eric's service is immaculate and it shows that he takes great pride in his little slice of paradise here in Banff.

The bacon and onions poutine hit the spot on a cool winter day. It has the right fries, cheese curds, and gravy ratio. The bacon and onions make them even better. Nice, relaxing atmosphere to enjoy some poutine. I will be back to try the other options.

Excellent! Service was top notch, and the place was absolutely immaculate! Very kind man (owner?) even catered to my diva toddler who requested pickles on her hotdog, and had cartoons on the tv. Definitely will be returning!
