My husband and I had reservations at a different steakhouse for our wedding night- but when we arrived they had closed for Reno’s and didn’t even call us. We ended up choosing the Bluebird instead- and we were blown away! The best food we’ve ever had, hands down. Thank you for making our wedding dinner so special and delicious- and for getting us a last minute table!

I was happy with my steak and cocktail, but the rest of my party was disappointed with their dishes, especially considering the price. My sister said her burger tasted like a Big Mac and didn't finish it. The disparity between price vs quality left us all feeling a little frustrated, which is unfortunate because it was our one nice dinner while in Banff.

We left Banff and drove to Coer d'Alene in Idaho and went to the Texas Roadhouse which I believe is a chain. The steaks there were very good and quite reasonably priced. Contrary to the Bluebird. Still a very nice restaurant.

Excellent service and atmosphere BUT remember this is a steakhouse not a place for Fondue. My Fondue was the worst ever, lumpy and tasteless. They change it for a second try, was less lumpy but still and tasteless again. My wife had a Rib’s Parpadelle and it was excellent. So, I definitely recommend this restaurant but please, don’t order the fondue at $57 …. pure waste. Guy&Janie

Beware of hidden charges. The server refilled our wine glass and charged us without our consent.

Very unwelcoming attitude since we walked in the restaurant. Two waitresses scanned us from head to feet, didn’t look at eyes, and said all tables have been reserved, we could sit in the bar on second floor. 6 empty tables were not taken by guests during 1 hour.

The atmosphere is excellent, the food is good. The quantity/price balance is off. Paying $6 for to roasted plain sandwiches is way off, unfortunately the hamburgers weren't as juicy as promised, but the sauce was.

We came for the cheese fondue (outside the happy hour) and it was a big disappointment. I’ve had fondue many times and they really good this one wrong. The texture, the consistency, the temperature and the taste were off. We thought it was simply an unlucky batch but the waiter brought a second batch which was just as bad.

We also did not get the right meat. We ordered the prime rib and got the striploin.

On the positive side, the cabbage dish was delicious. Great atmosphere with a friendly staff. Overpriced overall.

...Most unremarkable $100 meal I've had. The service was lovely, the food was good but not excellent. Overpriced even for a resort.

Friendly welcome and service, pleasant place that’s all, the dishes are overpriced! The fondue is not very good, fatty meat and little accompaniment. There is better elsewhere for much less

took awhile for drinks, food was cold by the time we got it, for spending over $200 you’d think the food would be somewhat warm,

The service was top notch, Johnny deserved his tip! However the food was only so so, our steaks were cooked well and were tasty but not knowing that it was literally only a steak on a plate, in the absence of ordering a side dish, we would have left hungry.

Came for the fondue happy hour. First fondue I've had, so hard to compare. However, the foods for dipping were pretty ordinary. The sirloin steak was cooked well but pretty unremarkable. The broccolini was surprisingly the star, with some lemony acidity that paired well with the savory cheese. The sourdough was semi stale, though not sure if that's typical of fondue or not. The cheese itself was good but not striking. Service and atmosphere were excellent

This is a regular steak restaurant that is pretending to be a high-end steak restaurant and charging for it. Firstly, we had to pay $50 for the honor of booking a reservation, and it wasn't even full when we got there. Staff are excellent. Waiters were professional, but $79 for a 14oz A-la-cart steak? Cooked as requested, but it was definitely not worth the money. Mid range flavoring at best. They put a small pile of salt on the plate, and I found myself using it just to make the steak have a little pop of flavor. Also had the shrimp. Again, pretty basic and overpriced. Mashed potatoes looked great, but they used a dollop of salt on the top to give it flavor. Paid $250 (+$50 just for the reservation) for a steak and a prime rib dinner (that was a bit too rare) with some shrimp and mashed potatoes and some rosemary fries on the side. Place is very nice, Wood cabin interior look with a nice fireplace. Not what I was hoping for the price. I guess the price is for the location as it is in the center of Banff? Not sure. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else for a good Alberta steak.

Parking: Paid parking on the street until 8pm.

Came here during happy hour for fondue, steak, and the broccolini. The fondue cheese was deliciously savory. However, the complimentary sourdough bread and potatoes were unexciting. The sirloin steak was cooked well, but again nothing remarkable. The broccolini was surprisingly the star of the show!
