Looked to get out for a late supper and EL Toro was a hit. Saif served my wife and I and really made us feel welcome. Recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some great food and service.

Walked down from our accommodation in Banff, took a leap of faith and decided to go to in house restaurant El Toro.
The food was first rate and the service was on point. Accomodations were made for vegetarian and gluten free options and the menu was very comprehensive. We all decided on very different meals and we were all very satisfied with the end result. Highly recommend and no need to walk all the way into the heart of town.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the staff asked us whether we wanted coffee or tea. We assumed they would serve us a welcome drink, which was just plain instant coffee. We only managed to finish half of it. But when we got the bill, we were shocked to find that the coffee was also charged over $4 per cup. It felt terrible because the staff's question made us feel like we were being tricked, and the coffee didn't deserve a $4+ service charge. The food was delicious, but we weren't happy with the coffee.

Most likely, the original Mexican owners have sold business to an Indian Gentleman. The new owner is a very nice person but the food quality is not great. They serve most awkward interpretation of Ceviche and Calamari.

This place is amazing. First of all service was incredible.Food was really good. Servers came several times to our table to ask if we need anything else. They have so many vegetarians choices for people who don't eat meat. I would recommend this restaurant if you are going to banff

My partner and I decided to order in to our hotel. When checking delivery options, there were two. Foodie and Uber Eats. There was a “preferred by restaurant” tag on Foodie so I chose them. I had made some special dietary requests and left an extra note stating exactly which hotel and room number we were in. The food ended up not coming at the provided time. After some calls back and forth, he brought the food 34 minutes late. It was very cold, soggy, and the special requests were missed. He said it was everyone else’s fault. I wrote the restaurant directly and while it turned out to be the Foodie’s fault (the driver continued to text me and blame everyone else for everything), Shaggy from El Toro accepted responsibility and ended up taking care of our bill. He even offered an additional discount for a dine in experience. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it back but I’d recommended this establishment due to the customer service and the taste of the food (it was cold but you could definitely tell it was good!). Hoping to make it for dine in next time we’re in Banff.
