The food was outstanding, scallop and pork belly starter was delicious and paired well with the endive salad. We ordered 4 entrees amongst our table and shared family style to get a taste of everything. Our server Warren was phenomenal. Will be back for sure!
Food was excellent but portion size were extremely small. Ordered a pizza after leaving restaurant.
With the cost of the gondola and what we ordered, it was a $450 lunch. We had no idea that it was $150 just to get to the restaurant $25 to park that should be a first thing that is told when you book this restaurant.
We had had dinner there the night before which was very lovely so we returned for breakfast. One of our group did not get what they had ordered and we had all practically finished our breakfasts before they got theirs. The sausage was extremely well done/dry. A disappointingly pretty B flat breakfast.
What a lovely dining retreat. We enjoyed the Good Folk breakfast, a robust meal to start the day and a beautiful forest mushroom omelet. Service was attentive and very helpful in managing Celiac needs. We will return!
Seriously the best food I've tasted in Canada and I've traveled a long way. So impressed. 🍀♥️
It didn't start well with us being offered blankets for our table and due to the draught and being told 2 groups had already moved from our table because of the cold - it wasn't too bad tbf - the starters a were great and came quickly - however the main courses took a long time and we had to ask for them - 3 then arrived with the final one later - the mains were generally ok - burgers good - salmon ok - they did discount the bill for us which was good of them and appreciated it just wasn't the experience I would have expected for the venue - so overall disappointed - may give them another go as have had good local feedback
Cold at the first table we were sat at and they didnt want to change it. We insisted and it was a lot better. Food was amazing
Our server is really nice and friendly and knows everything on the menu which is an advantage for us as it was our first time dinning at Good Folk. Food are really tasty and fresh and delicious! Environment is chill and cozy.
Don't miss this gem! The food was perfection. We ordered the wild boar, short rib gnocchi and a bison burger. Delicious. The drinks were on point as well. Service was impeccable. Sean was our server. Ask for him. You won't regret it. Highly recommend this spot in Banff!

Great service Great food Lovely experience They really did it right here and I would recommend it to anybody
We had an amazing Christmas dinner. Sean, our waiter was very good. I made us feel special.
Such a warm welcome from the staff from the minute we arrived. Amazing service the entire meal. We had the Christmas menu and it was the best turkey I've had in years. The chocolate tart was also delicious. One of the best restaurants in Banff.
Amazing experience for Christmas dinner - gorgeous room, excellent service and food. Thanks to all the staff!
Good Folk is searching for what it wants to be. I even went for breakfast the following day to give it another shot. The serive team was openly gossiping in front of guests. My order was incorrectly entered ("wild boar chop," which I ordered sounds nothing like "bison striploin," which was initially delivered). The Manager came to see me and offered the bison striploin, which had been taken away four minutes before, when I decline the boar chop arrived 90 seconds after. I was surprised I wasn't charged for both when the bill arrived. Nothing was taken off my bill either. The chef seems enamored with boar and bison. The chop was cooked medium as requested and the chimichurri that came with was good. The mushrooms and lentils were greasy. Breakfast of heuvos rancheros with wild boar chorizo was okay. Marred by over hard eggs, over easy requested, and the side ordered chive biscuit appeared to be deep fried. If I go back to Good Folk it will be for convenient location only.
