Great food, great service, lovely setting. Will be back the next time we are in Banff. I'm going to miss that mushroom risotto until then. Yum!

The for-two Tomahawk steak experience is incredibly delicious! The lamb entree was also very good! They also have a very yummy egg-white mocktail. Highly suggest this Banff restaurant!

Breakfast was amazing. Something as simple as an omelet and yogurt was served as a piece of art. Food tasted great as well , the way they combined the products and the seasoning reminded me is what I have experienced is some Michelin stars restaurants in Europe. I was very impressed .

Decided to come here for a post proposal dinner, the drinks are all around $15-20+ and are so strong they make for an unpleasant drinking experience, they do get you feeling tipsy though. The mushroom flatbread was worth the $19! Don’t expect to leave full if you’re not getting appetizers, the sides are children sized. The chicken supremes come with two fingerling potatoes which was disappointing, however the leeks were delicious. My partner did enjoy his wild boar dish!
If fancy food is your thing you might enjoy this spot more than us though! Giving four star because the service was quick and friendly.

Over the course of our stay at the Otter hotel we stopped by this restaurant for brunch, dinner, and late night drinks. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of most of the yummy food I ate. Would recommend the mussels and the fritters. The bartender made me a special cocktail which I loved as well! Service was great at each visit. Also loved the cozy ambiance.

We picked Good Folk for our first meal in Banff at random and we’re SO glad we did - the food was delicious and the venue and service were perfect and friendly. We’d strongly recommend booking yourself a table here!!

Had breakfast here Sept 20. Atmosphere and interior design is lovely, staff was great. We had to send a dish back as it came out luke warm & it was taken care of quickly. Recommend the iced latte & eggs Benny.

I came in here for dinner and had a wonderful time. The boar chop was cooked perfectly and the fish was soooo flaky.

Despite the food being delicious, dinner was very awkward for us. We were sat infront of the kitchen and we were appalled. The sous chef seems to think a leader is someone who berates and yells at staff. He doesn’t make eye contact with the servers and snatches stuff out of his cooks hands. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, this was embarrassing to watch. Does your head chef have control of this kitchen? Doesn’t seem so.

We will not be returning and supporting a restaurant that treats their staff so poorly.

I definitely recommend Good Folk if you are looking for a delicious meal with a mountain view, and creative cocktails and courses. I tried the rainbow trout and it was unbelievably fresh. The potatoes were unbeatable. The servers are so friendly and accommodating.

Good Folk was such a fantastic brunch spot—everything we ordered was beautifully presented and delicious.

For a lighter start, the Alpine Bowl was refreshing and well-balanced, with yogurt, berries, fruit leather, and a peanut trail cookie adding fun texture. Coffee was on the darker roasted side.

The Eggs Benedict stood out with perfectly poached eggs, a bright champagne herb hollandaise, and crispy rosti bravas on the side that were golden and addictive. The Forest Mushroom Omelette contained goat cheese, so the is the only dish I disliked. We also tried the Banana Caramel French Toast, which was decadent without being too heavy—topped with whipped vanilla crème, candied squash seeds, bacon, and a drizzle of Canadian maple syrup. Absolutely indulgent!

OMG - don’t miss their Cinnamon Roll! It was moist, perfectly balanced caramel sauce, and crusty bread… I can finish a whole one myself!

Service was warm and attentive, and the outdoor patio was a lovely spot to enjoy a sunny morning. With its thoughtful menu and cozy-yet-modern atmosphere, Good Folk is definitely a brunch destination worth returning to.

Beautiful setting and the best food we had in Banff. This is not your average restaurant, the chefs creations are a must if you like gourmet dishes layered with intriguing flavor. Not to mention fantastic cocktail's.

It’s a really nice place. The food was freshly made and very tasty. I hope the service can be improved though—there wasn’t any water refilling service. Aside from that, everything else was excellent.
