honestly the best tasting burger i’ve had in banff, it was deliciously perfect.
my one gripe is my cab driver called this place affordable when it’s absolutely not, prices seem to have risen over the years. attached is the new menu prices which has an almost $10 increase compared to the last one i saw on google reviews. but, the burger is worth it and the space is decent.

Beautiful views host a nice menu. We've been there several times. The food is consistently good 👍🏻. The chairs are showing their age. Staff is friendly. Great spot to eat away from the main drag.

Service was slow with staff standing around chatting. Food was not good at all. Soups were terrible, clubhouse sandwich was mushy, fries were old and crunchy. Tried eating here a few times and ordering different things. The flatbread was ok.

Yeesh, not good. I thought they might be a practice hospitality restaurant because everything was a mess. Got our order wrong, which happens but then brought us cold food. I cannot recommend this place.

Exceptional food and service! We arrived yesterday before the Debaters show and the dining room was full. The team was able to seat us quickly and the service was kind and efficient and the food was delicious and hot. Very impressive for such a busy evening. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Very poor planning in terms of seating guests. Unnecessary very long lineups. Also should have a separate line for their coffee/snack take out area.

MacLab Bistro is great during the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival. Food is good. Homemade soups are great for lunch. Tuna poke bowl was good. Thai curry with tofu was very delicious. Dumplings were akin to Tibetan momos. Very lively ambiance after the evening festival programs.
Delicious food , and amazing staff and service! The views are incredible too ! Totally recommend if you want to step away from town for a bit . Lots of free convenient parking available there too

Everything is better than expected. Food portions is big enough and tastes good. The burger is very juicy and the Chicken Salad Bowl with perfect dressing, I pretty like the cheese on top.
We also ordered hot chocolate and hot latte.
The scene is just amazing.
No long queue and free parking space

I don’t know if I personally did something to the stuff-none of whom I have ever met in my life-but twice in two days I’ve walked in, got a cold look and the back of their head while I wait to be seated, eventually seated myself, and got completely ignored while others around me (many of who arrived much later) were served and other tables had their drinks refilled.
I don’t usually complain or take the time to write a review but this is the worst service I’ve ever had. I can appreciate that it’s a stressful job, but I’ve worked in a restaurant myself in far less pleasant circumstances and had coworkers who were having a terrible time in and out of work, but none of us ever behaved like that . Honestly it really weirded me out because I do not know any of these people but the treatment I received almost came across as personal dislike.
First time I ever didn’t give a tip and just left the restaurant.
