Food and management were the worst I’ve ever seen at trappers the South African guy on the desk was clueless, what happened to the old chefs? Shelby and Cali the servers were awesome however

It was bar service for dinner which was fine, but there was no one who greeted us. The food was poor, the burger buns came out completely charred and the burger patty was burnt to a crisp. When Benji asked how everything was when we were paying, we told him the food was not good and informed him why. He did not take the feedback and said he cannot serve the burgers raw. I said we are Canadian, we don’t want them medium rare, just not burnt preferably.

Food is good enough for a resort pub. The beers were cold so that was nice. The place was super packed and the table near the door is not the best option as the door keep being open and service was super slow as they were overwhelmed. The Atmosphere is nice and casual. Overall it is an overall break in between ski runs

Ski resort food…. Below expectations. All fried nothing grilled. No healthy options.
Service takes way too long for a burger and fries - 50 minutes
The point is fast in and out at a ski resort.

It was extremely busy and we were fortunate to get a table for 4.
Our server was Chihiro and she was on point. Took care of us and kept us up to date about the food timings. The wait time for food became 45 minutes and we got a nice visit from Benji, new manager in Trappers and he was so apologetic to the wait time and was so sincere. We loved how he went around the whole place following up on every staff member from where we were sitting, we had a great view of the place. Once the food hit the table, it was amazing and worth the wait. Both Chihiro and Benji made our day and this is what hospitality is all about.
We will be coming weekly now just because of how our first day went. Thank you Mad Trapper's team.

Horrendous took over 1 hour to get the worst frozen hamburger and a stale poutine. No more specials anymore. Freezing cold inside with leaks and napkins to cover it up. It was a miserable atmosphere as everyone was waiting forever. I felt bad people travel from all over the world for this experience and it was garbage. The cocktails were gross - ordered a ceaser tasted like a vodka lime. $225 for 2 people lunch - very unimpressive. Lake Louise would have fondue with a view for that price and fast service. We are okay spending however provide good food like you used too. You are making Banff look bad. We won’t be back - and won’t recommend like we used too.

This used to be the spot to hang out at sunshine. It is a flicker of what it once was. Consistently the worst service I’ve ever received.. they’re nice people but utterly terrible at their job lol

Restaurantji Recommends
my bean in my ceasar was rancid, almost puked. buddies beer was 6 months overdate. nachos were decent. one server dude was an idiot, the girl server we had was great tho. Trappers needs to get their stuff together, seems super poorly managed and food quality was crap.

Unlike a lodge, they seat you. Not a free for all. Get the bison chilli. To be fair, only got the grilled cheese with soup, which was a good grilled cheese, but the second day they didn't have the soup and subbed the bison chilli. Omg. That was the bomb. So meaty. Docked a star since the floor is quite slippery, Taylor was helpful and attentive. Full marks.

Wow is this spot going downhill. I am prone to exaggeration so let me tell you I am NOT exaggerating; when I tell you I just had the worst $26 “caesar salad” of my entire life… Subway makes better salad.
Who is in charge here!? Pull your head out!

Pablo and Noah were bartending me for 2 hours and as soon as my glass got empty they were straight onto it asking me if I’d like another drink. Both good eye candy whilst having a cheeky apres drink if I’m being real 😏

Handwashing is optional with the staff behind the bar. They handle food, drinks and the money without once washing thier hands. Ick. I even see them handle jugs by the spout and chocolate chips arranged on whip cream with thier finger.s use a Spoon! The hot choc machine overfilled the mugs and causes the mugs to drop down the side. Math numeracy is not the strong point either. Hospitality is on the low.
