Service was terrible, they didn't care, no attention, tables dirty. Food was sad, crappy ingredients and products, my burger was over cooked, my father in law pulled pork sandwich had more sauce then pork, kitchen should be ashamed of the crap they serve, wow couldn't belive it. And of course you're on the mountain, so it costs much more. All staff should be fired and new staff hired, and i wasn't the only one in the room thinking that

food was very mediocre and horrible service they treated us terrible would never go to this restaurant again. we were waiting for an hour and a half for our food while other costumers were coming even an hour after us and getting their orders before us. When we complained, one of the servers laughed at us. we explained that my sister was a diabetic and she needed to eat but they were acting like we were being impatient. absolutely the worse service i’ve ever experienced.

Very disappointed with Mad Trappers. As the only Black family there, we were ignored while others were served quickly. We waited over an hour while being told to “be patient.” When we spoke up about the clear discrimination, a staff member laughed in our face. The manager gave some ridiculous story about being from South Africa and “understanding how we feel” as a white man. Disgusting. They claimed they lost our receipt until they saw us confronting them. Only the fries and a wrap were decent. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Quick and easy food wine on the mountain. Plenty of beer choices. Good service. During the winter the restrooms and locker area are incredibly packed because these are the most accessible washrooms on the mountain.

Nik’s Tenders are legitimately the best chicken tenders I have ever eaten. The buttermilk and dill pickle brine makes these tenders so good. Great views at the outside seating area as well.

Billed as top of the mountain dining but it really is not..it is mid mountain. The food was mediocre but nothing special. The service was the worst we encountered in Banff. The restaurant was dark and lower ceiling with few windows to enjoy any views.

If there’s one thing better than the views at Sunshine Village, it’s the unreal service from Georgia at Trappers. She isn’t just a server—she’s a hospitality powerhouse, an efficiency queen, and the kind of person who turns a regular meal into a five-star experience.
Georgia moves with the speed of a seasoned pro, never missing a beat, all while bringing the kind of energy and warmth that makes you feel like a VIP. Drinks? Perfectly timed. Special requests? Handled before you can even ask. She could be running a luxury resort, but lucky for Trappers, she’s here making every shift legendary.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trappers’ success was directly tied to Georgia’s magic. She IS the experience. If you’re not giving her a raise, at least put her name on a plaque—because this place wouldn’t be the same without her.
