We dined in during peak hours, and despite the bustling crowd, the experience was stellar! The food arrived hot and fresh. The service was impressively fast.

We were surprised to find so many Indian food options in Banff. Even more surprised to find great North Indian food. We ate there twice during our trip both times delighted us. We got chicken 65, samosa Chaat, prawn curry, chicken handi, chicken saag and Malai kofta. I'd highly recommend prawn curry and Malai kofta for their very authentic taste. Service was slightly slow because there seemed to be less staff. The ambience was okay but the location is great.

Worst service, staff was busy cleaning tables & arranging. We had lunch here today and food is not worth the money. Charged 6$ for just a bowl of plain yogurt is a ripoff. We asked for lemon which never came and we had to do multiple follow ups for the yogurt which was ordered along with the food.

I would suggest one to try Zyka or Saffron instead.

Incredibly delicious Indian food. Very generous portions with such large, tender pieces of chicken. We got the lamb, butter chicken, tiki masala, and curry chicken. Just such an incredible meal

Food was amazing, quantity was also good. Amazing service and not that expensive! Authentic Indian food. Corn tikki which was off the menu was also good(suggested by the server).

Alright, grab your popcorn because this one’s a bit of a story!

I’m pretty much a regular here — been to this restaurant quite a few times and tried a bunch of different dishes. Hands down, the food is great. Seriously, they’ve got the flavors down. But here’s the kicker: the service? Not so much.

There’s this one guy standing right by the door who seems to be in charge of seating. And honestly... he comes off a bit racist. I’m not even joking. It’s the same thing every single time I go in. Could be the owner? Not 100% sure, but it feels that way.

So here’s what goes down: the restaurant has two sections — left and right. This guy always seats brown people on one side, and everyone else on the other. I’ve noticed it a lot. And when it comes to checking on guests, he and the other staff are all over the non-brown tables — every 15 minutes or so, “How’s the food? Everything good?” Personally, I’m someone who likes my food without a side of interruptions, so I don’t mind that part.

But here’s the weird part: if you’re sitting on the “brown people” side, it’s like you disappear. Service drops to basically zero. No checking in, no “How was everything?” nada. When I first came with a mixed group, I got the full treatment. Next times I went with just my own people, service was basically ghost mode.

I’m gonna give them another shot — I’ll come back and let you know if anything changes. But if it’s the same story again, I’m out. And I won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

Great taste, Great service

The food was exceptional. We enjoyed Palak Paneer, Aloo Gobi and Garlic Naan. Our server seemed like he didn't want to be there. They charge extra for rice to go with the entrees, and for chutneys to go with the papadumm.

I would suggest for Dal tadka instead of Dal makhni, must be busy in evening time

During our Banff trip, we had dinner at Masala, and it was a great experience. They offer a separate Jain sabji menu, which was amazing to see. We tried the Jain Chana Masala and Daal. The Chana Masala was served in a makhni-style gravy — a bit different from what we expected, but still tasty. The Daal was especially good — full of flavor. Portion sizes were generous, prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent.
