My Favorite bar in Banff, maybe even in all of Alberta!
Honest pints and great staff.
Came here to play the Banff Punk night and will definitely be back. This night was filled with good people and great tunes. Need more shows like this to host killer live music nights.
More live music nights please!

A Canadian take on an English pub.
But all of the fun themes of a Northern American late night bar.
It’s genius and I don’t even know if it means to be.
Drinks are incredibly reasonable. It’s a very fun place to hang out and shoot pool.

Pump and tap is a great spot to grab a quick cheap drink, sing some karaoke, or catch a random drum and bass show. It holds a ton of memories. Really loving the variety of shows lately. From rock, dubstep, drum and bass. The live music I hope continues!

Legitimately the best set of fish and chips I’ve had. I’m Texan so I don’t know how good the food around the area is but this is a damn good hole in the ground. Well worth trying to find it. Hint, it’s in the small shopping mall down the stairs.
It was $18 CAD/$13.23USD for fish and chips so not great but not bad. Glad I popped in here. I got immediately seated so yeah
Oh and they have slot machines if you’re into that. Also be careful this place looks like a liminal space so be careful sitting down you might just slip into an alternate universe.
Really recommend this place ⭐️ we were very exceptionally served. They played the FIFA game we were looking to watch, received our service dog and even treat her with a huge bowl of water, very nice service and yummy food! Thank you very much, we enjoyed our time here very much! 🙏🏼✨️

I practically lived at the Pump when I was in my 20s. I partied there so much that eventually they gave me a job and it’s still one of my favourite bartending gigs I ever worked. I left Banff for the big city of Vancouver long ago, but just this last winter I heard they started hosting an event called Banff Punk Night so I booked my band a show. I can’t begin to explain how meaningful it was to perform at the bar where I spent so many nights, and how great it was to see so many old friends. The Pump and Tap is a true community pub, and I’m happy to be a small part of its history!
Banff Punk Night rules! And the staff are most excellent!

Bit of a dive bar, and the punk night is super sick. I only really go for the music these days. More music please! While there's plenty of random English things around, it's definitely nothing like an actual English pub.
