This is the kinda place that I think is mostly designed for the service and industry locals to come get hosed after their shift. It's dark dank and tiny, the only thing British about it are the various soccer jerseys on the wall. With that said if you're polite and understanding that this is a locals first pub you can get a cheap pint and even cheaper shooters and get your motor running. I don't think the food comes from a kitchen but I don't think people go here to eat. Got that Banff underbelly vibe. Keep your expectations low and grab a cold pint.

One of the best bars in Banff. Dive bar style, always a blast, great bartenders with humour, and cheap prices. Only minus is that it is cash only, although there is an ATM with a surcharge available at the venue for credit cards.

Tiny little hole in the wall, type of place. It was very busy. It was also very STICKY. Which was uncomfortable for me personally.Other than the overcrowding, it was a nice little place to pop in and have a drink and throw away a few bucks-- while we were waiting on a different arrangement at another establishment. ?Parking: I'm not from this area, or the province even. We did park in a parking garage, which I believe my gf told me was free for overnight parking. She also said there were other options of paid parking garages in the area.Kid-friendliness: Well, it's a bar ... Sooo ... ?

I agree with another reviewer. Unless you are a local from the UK you will not get good service. Waited in line at the bar to get a drink, female bartender kept taking losers who cut the line and when I tried to order she yelled at me “no not you” and then pointed to the guy behind me and said “I’ll take you next”. Left immediately. NOT FOR TOURISTS!!!!

Unless you’re a “local” from Australia they won’t serve you. The female staff are especially awful. Too bad you missed your opportunity to make a decent tip. Cheers.
Nice pub. Had a great atmosphere. Lots of good beer on tap. Good place to warm up after walking around in the cold.

What a great place, I walked in and said, wow what a great place. My bartender Scorp was sweet. Local dude nice and super friendly and food was awesome. 100% recommend.

OMG don't do it. I'm not classy and grew up in a rougher neighbourhood but wow.... Bathrooms have no taps to wash your hands.. seriously walked in.. looked around and a big nope. Don't even waste your time.

This is a classic American dive bar. Which normally I’m into. The server looked at me, served another customer, looked at me again, proceeded to serve and have an extensive conversation with a friend that was standing beside me, looked at me, walked down the other end of the bar to do something else. I’ve never experienced such an unwelcoming start to a venue. After 5 mins of waiting to be served I just walked out.
