Such a hidden gem in Banff. No frills, just big, bold flavour in every bowl—and great value, too. The staff are wonderfully friendly, attentive, and on the ball. I was especially thrilled to find a proper vegetarian ramen—most traditional spots don’t offer a true veggie broth—so the vegetarian Black Tan Tan Ramen was an absolute win. Highly recommend.

Easily the best ramen I’ve eaten since leaving Japan (I lived there for three years). The place is run by friendly and passionate Japanese folks. Food is fabulous and well worth a short wait (they do a wonderful job managing the queue). Highly recommend!

Delicious ramen. Fast, friendly service. Restaurant is on the small side so expect a wait. I am gluten intolerant and was able to eat the miso ramen with rice noodles. My husband enjoyed the seafood ramen!
Highly recommend!

After a long day exploring the stunning (and chilly!) views around Banff, we were craving something deeply comforting. Arashi Ramen was the perfect answer.
We both went for the Signature Arashi Ramen, and it did not disappoint. The star was absolutely the broth—it’s this rich, complex, and deeply savory tonkotsu that feels like it’s been simmered for days. It had so much flavor without being overly salty. The noodles had a great chew, and the chashu pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a slight sweetness from its glaze.
What really made the experience, though, was the atmosphere. The space is sleek and warm, and the staff were genuinely friendly and efficient. Our server saw us puzzling over the menu and offered a perfect, simple explanation that sealed our choice.
It’s more than just a meal; it’s the exact kind of nourishing, satisfying bowl you dream about after being in the mountain air. We left warmed up from the inside out, already planning what to try on our next visit. A definite must-stop in Banff

Very good ramen. The portions are a bit on the small size if you are very hungry, but the price is also small. Great option in Banff if you are craving something asian. It is a tucked upstairs in a gallery. A bit hard to find, but worth it. The plum wine was a nice surprise: very sweet and refreshing. We saw a large queue after we left, so be prepared to wait at the most popular times.
