The most wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, great portions and nice prices. We try to go here whenever we get a chance. This place is awesome!
Fab spot for drinks. Bree was our server and she was brilliant! Live music also brings the authentic Irish vibes.

Our food, Steak and Guinness Pie and Lamb Shank, was excellent, service was great, and atmosphere inside and at a sidewalk table was terrific. It was a very busy summer Saturday night. We felt lucky to get an outside table at 5:30 pm, but then rain chased us inside. Our waiter was great and helped everyone with moving food and drinks. The inside decor was amazing, authentically Irish and beautiful. The Steak and Guinness pie might be the best thing I've ever eaten.

They were amazing here. I needed a break from the hectic vibe in Banff and walked in here after a recommendation from a friend. I asked for a space tucked away into the back and they helped me out right away and never forgot about me even though I was off in the corner.
I had the beef barley soup and poutine. Both were hearty and delicious, and the atmosphere of the place was gentle and smooth. Great staff who were friendly and curious and kind.

Very good steak pie.
Poutine was okay, but I specifically asked that as an off the menu item.
Live music on the Friday I went and it was a great cover artist.
Thanks guys.

It was our third visit to the pub: 2000, 2018, and this year. Whenever we visit Banff, we always have one of our meals at this Irish pub, and it never disappoints. The food was good, the servers were very attentive, and the atmosphere was great as well. The only downside was that the beer, Innis & Gunn, had a slightly different taste than the one I had in Edinburgh. I noticed a flowery note—I’m not sure if it was just me. I don’t know when we’ll visit Banff again, but I’m sure we’ll come back to the pub for another meal and some drinks.

Used to be my favourite eatery. Walked in today hearing loud rock music. What happened to the Irish music that used to play @ this Irish Pub. Very disappointing.

The food was delicious, and our server was friendly—no complaints there. However, I’m giving one star due to the seating arrangement.
We arrived at the restaurant around 3:30 PM on Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t busy, and there were plenty of empty seats available. Despite this, we were led to the very back of the restaurant. At first, we didn’t think much of it, as there was a group nearby that was just finishing up. But once they left, we realized we were the only ones seated in that section.
Our table was right next to the staff resting area, which made things uncomfortable. My friend had to constantly move her chair to allow employees to pass through, and we had to adjust our seating just to accommodate their access. It felt like an afterthought, especially considering the rest of the dining area was mostly empty.
As Asian customers, we couldn't help but question why we were seated there. While I’m hesitant to use the word “discrimination,” the experience left us feeling unwelcome—particularly surprising in a tourist-friendly place like Banff.
Your food is great, and visitors from all backgrounds should feel equally valued when dining. Please treat all customers with the same respect and kindness. After all, this is Canada!

Bangers and mash, liver and onions and cottage pie were delicious! Beer was great. Husband enjoyed a flight of scotch. Great service. Downtown location in Banff was easy to get to.
