Best hostel bar I didn’t plan on staying at all night
Came in for “just one drink” and somehow left with new friends, a full stomach, and karaoke-induced confidence I definitely didn’t have before.
Happy hour food and drinks are dangerously good (both for your wallet and your decision-making), and the daily food specials are way better than they have any right to be for a hostel bar. Like… $3 tacos on taco Tuesday and $9 Poutine, come on.
The events are where this place really shines. Karaoke nights are pure chaos in the best way, music bingo is way more competitive than expected.. if you make it to the last round, and the vibe makes it ridiculously easy to meet people. By the end of the night, everyone feels like they’ve known each other for years.
If you’re staying at the hostel and don’t come down to the Beaver Bar, you’re doing it wrong. 10/10 would lose my voice and plans again.

This could be the most local Awesome bar in all of Banff. Happy hour all day Sunday, great specials, and great drinks. The prices are amazing! Had a beer and the poutine, which is probably the best poutine I’ve ever had! I’ll be back many more times.

Stopped in to see if I should stay here for the night or go on my way. I had the special, chicken tortillas. Decent but not spicy lacking flavour so get the trio of sauces for it. You have to pre pay for your food and drinks. I have stayed here in the past, female bunk rooms. I liked their location in Kelowna also.
We were staying in this hostel and didn't know until we got here that they had their own restaurant. Honestly didn't know WHAT to expect but only ate there on a whim as we were very tired from hiking.
That being said, WOW wow this place is absolutely amazing. We were hungry and tried many dishes and all were loved:
-Curry soup - I'm not a curry fan but my partner devoured it. -Hummus platter - super good hummus, super crispy slices of flatbread for dipping. -Poutine - Super crispy fries, rich gravy, plenty of gooey cheese. -Burger - Tons of flavor, very fresh. Their burger patty is a blend of something unfamiliar, almost spongy. idk but it was good anyway!

Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The burgers were absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The fries were incredible too, easily the best I’ve had! All that at a price that’s hard to beat. Can’t wait to come back!

They have happy hour everyday 4 to 6pm. Sunday full day is happy hour all day. I had IPA beer. Anyway that is my favourite. The food is amazing guys. I had the beef burger and chips. But don't take my word check it out. If u meet Jacko at the counter he is amazing and very helpful

We were staying in this hostel and didn't know until we got here that they had their own restaurant. Honestly didn't know WHAT to expect but only ate there on a whim as we were very tired from hiking.
