Good food, very pricey. We’ve never done fondue before so it was a great opportunity to try it. Not a lot of options for kiddos

Crazy AC blowing the entire time, messed with the heat on the fondue. Server was nice but the entire lunch experience taking 2 and 1/2 hours is crazy

It’s an icon in Banff and I’m glad we experienced it once. The food was generally okay but it was a great social experience for the family. The ambiance was nice but it was way darker than we expected - so prepare your eyes if you visit on a sunny day! Don’t expect to finish dinner in under 1 hour here, the whole process takes a while. Glad we made a reservation because it was super busy when we went (3pm)

Unarguably the worst fondue in the world. I have no idea what cheese they put in the fondue, it was the absolute worst possible. They have obviously not tasted the real 4 cheeses that go in making a fondue. The service was terrible. When we reminded our server of a dish that was yet to be served, his response was “sorry I only have two hands”. Such people should be fired immediately if you want a successful business to continue.

My absolute FAVOURITE restaurant in Banff. Anytime I can get an excuse to drag someone out there for a good meal and some fun history I do. Highly recommend, make sure you reserve ahead of time.

We booked a dinner reservation on a Sunday night. We were welcomed by the host right away and seated immediately, highly recommended to book a reservation. Our server was average, the place was so busy that everything felt rushed, she explained the specials and you can tell she was half in and out, not sure if she was set up for success either. Menu was kind of overwhelming, so I do suggest looking up the menu ahead of time. We ordered an Exotic and Alberta fondue selection cooked on hot rocks, and the food was good. I find overall it was just an above average experience given the menu they offer. Would I come back? Probably, if i dont have to, I won't unless im celebrating a special occasion. Our bill was 👀. They definitely can improve on the service.

What an exceptional staff and experience! It was a highlight of our trip, and we were thoroughly impressed.
Manager Max leads by example with his kindness and outstanding service. He was incredibly helpful in accommodating our large private group.

Really cute and nice place - fondue and hot stone cooking available - also a la carte steaks and sausages (and others)
Nice spot, paid parking close by.
Reservations recommended, I think

My husband and I frequent the Grizz, this week my father was diagnosed with Parkinson's with light speed progression. He is a retired GP so knows what is happening to his body, his cousins from Detroit drove up to visit him and my mom as somewhat of a farewell tour. None of them had ever been before. I called ahead and spoke to Dave. What a great man. He understood the assignment. No hot rocks in front of my dad, my mom was in charge and show them a good time. Dave you are wonderful, while my dad has memories to make you made sure this is one of the very last. The Grizzly house is something everyone should experience once at least if you live close. Thank you Dave. You get it. He let me give instructions and pre order for the party. I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you!
