The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Banff Caribou

The restaurant design with the windows and the use of natural wood makes it feel more elevated than a traditional steakhouse where low lighting and dark finishes are used.
As always, the Keg chefs know how to deliver a perfectly cooked steak.

Dinner service was good and our server was great however food was subpar, garlic mashed potatoes were dry and bland. $75 ribeye was under cooked and didn’t have a good char. Have had same dishes at different keg locations and was way better.

I made a booking for 6:30pm on Saturday 24th May for me and my partners anniversary. The booking process was simple and convenient. Our plans changed so we were 30 minutes early and the staff at entrance were helpful and accommodating. We were seated at a table, all happy thus far. Daniel the waiter greeted us and provided us with water. I had questions, Daniel answered them clearly and efficiently. Again, very accommodating and very pleasant. The food was fantastic, prime rib was excellent, perfect cook. The drinks were good, but the food, was star of the show. Daniel checked in on us, now and then, the right amount of presence. What we didn’t expect was ice cream cake? (Daniel did explain what it was but I forgot) to celebrate the anniversary, what a nice touch that was and totally unexpected. And of course, it was delicious too. Really pleased with the visit. Price wise it’s a steakhouse, so it was on par with expectations (expensive but you get what you pay for). They delivered today. Would recommend. Thank you.

Always love the Keg. Great quality cocktails. Keg size and great service. We did not eat but their blue cheese filet is top notch consistently

The steak was perfectly done. The sides were delicious. The Keg has never disappointed us.

All 4 enjoyed each menu choice from the escargot, garlic shrimp, onion soup, melon cocktail and sea bass with garlic mashed potatoes, and the bread to soak up all the flavourful garlic sauces. Tres Beau. The family at the next table were a delight.

A dinner at The Keg is always lovely. Being in Banff just adds to the charm. Dinner was great. The only complaint was the smokey guava drink... we didn't enjoy that. Otherwise we highly recommend this location.

Excellent service and cool ambiance for Banff. Value was not there, we've had comparable steak meals for $20 less on overall price. But our waitress made the experience exceptional.

We booked a booth MONTHS ago, and somehow they didn't have one reserved upon arrival. We were seated in the restaurant only a few steps from the lounge and somehow happy hour didn't not apply to where we were seated. Unimpressed.

All in all it was a good dinner service was good. Because it being Banff there were alot of kids

Cass was a wonderful server; our table had a member who is hard of hearing and she accommodated very nicely and made the dining experience wonderful. Thank you!

We love this keg. Our bartender, Damian, was by far the best bartender we’ve had in Banff. Kind, attentive, friendly, and hilarious. Best drinks in the city - we will be back!!

Last night was absolutely sublime! I ordered the NY Striploin, Rare, and it was absolutely mouthwateringly good! Add to that their incredible twice baked potato, and then the Billy Miner's Pie which was like a little slice of heaven.
However, as good as the food was, our server was what made this experience as great ad it was! She was quite possibly the best server I have ever had. So friendly, joking, so efficient, and somehow was able to hear and capture each order with do many distractions and noise.
Can't imagine a better dining experience is possible! (Well, maybe except that next time I might like to try their ribeye! Ha ha)
