The best experience I’ve had dining in Banff. Pricing was on point, food exceptional and the staff were just amazing.

My husband and I enjoyed a romantic dinner for two at The Maple Leaf in Banff, Alberta. We were seated by the window, where we took in stunning views of the town and surrounding mountains. I ordered the squash soup, and we both had the filet, which was served with asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes. Every dish was delicious, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented.

For dessert, we shared an amazing sticky toffee pudding topped with ice cream, which was the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal.

The atmosphere struck the perfect balance- elegant yet relaxed enough for intimate conversation. The service was exceptional, with every detail handled thoughtfully and professionally. It was truly a five-star dining experience. I highly recommend it!

Came mid afternoon on a snowy day. I wanted something I couldn't get at home to ordered the bison burger - it was quite charred so a little dry, apparently this is normal in order to make sure it's cooked right through, but a bit overdone for this medium rare girl.
Switched for the ribs with maple butternut squash. Delicious. Frankly if I could only eat that squash for ever I'd be happy.
Suggested improvement- somewhere to put your snowy coat and hat other than the floor.

A restaurant recommended to us by our hotel for steak, and it did not disappoint. My wife said it was the best steak she had had. Good menu selection, quite reasonable prices compared to lake Louise for example, and the service was as usual, very good. Well worth checking out.

We dined in for the $39 three course meal experience and our server Sean was extremely kind and helpful. All three courses blew us away and the bottle of wine was delicious. We had an amazing experience and thank everyone involved for making our night so special!

We didn’t have a plan on where to eat lunch and after walking on this street and reading the menu posted at the door we decided that the hot chicken sandwich sounded great. Well it was delicious! The coffee was excellent and the waiter was very attentive, friendly and provided excellent service! We did not regret our decision to have lunch here!

We visited The Maple Leaf Steak & Seafood in downtown Banff for brunch and had a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is beautifully designed over two stories, with a cozy, rustic-chic and elegant ambiance.

We ordered the squash soup with sourdough toast, crispy fish and chips, and a steak breakfast. The food was good, and well prepared, making for a relaxing and enjoyable brunch.

Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. A lovely spot for brunch if you’re visiting Banff.

Visited again since 2018, they changed a lot of the dishes on the menu, simpler but sharper I feel. Ingredients still fresh, and location still feel cozy. But it's not as crowded as before on a weekend lunchtime.

Mari, was as always, wonderful. The food is always delicious and has been since they opened in 1999. Best consistent food in Banff.

Our server was a man named Julian and he really did his best to make our experience wonderful. We came to the Maple leaf to get the $39 feast menu and it absolutely did not disappoint. The duck wings and the lemon basil sorbet were absolutely amazing, and I would go back to this restaurant just for those two items. The portions and service are both great, it’s great value, and not crowded on a weekday night in the winter
