We just checked in 15 minutes ago, seen there was a restaurant. We stood at the "wait to be seated" sign for around 10-15 minutes. This was at the upper bar part. There was about 3 tables open. Plus the he restaurant has tons of seating. Since the bartender there hasn't said a word to us, we figured seating ours lives wouldn't be an issue. Finally we sit down and see a woman who is more dressed up, she much have finally decided to show up to that area. Keep in mind, no one was behind us at all. Basically now we are being ignored by staff. We see the other tables get filled up and they get helped. We told the lady we had not been helped (She was the manager) She says "that's because you didn't wait to be seated. We had someone waiting behind you. (This is a straight up lie). This was the most immature thing I've ever seen happen. This woman clearly has a power trip going on. They refused to serve us. What a way to treat a hotel guest. We tried to tell the front desk person, he did not care. With in 20 minutes we decided that this will be the last time we ever book at this hotel. Now we not only feel uncomfortable but now cannot dine at the hotels own restaurant. The most unprofessional thing Ive ever seen. They weren't even close to full. You think they wouldn't want to drive away customer. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We walked to the hotel next to us and went to the "farm and fire". It was much busier but they seated us immediately. Staff extremely respectful. That manager at the meatball needs to lose her ego and put the businesses best interests first.

Not really worth it. We ordered the meatball sampler, portions were very small however the meatballs were very good. We ordered the bread which was alright. Not really worth the cost and the balsamic was disgusting, had a spoiled tasted. We order two pizzas. La Vita and Baby Face Fungi while on sale, honestly just tasted like a frozen pizza. Overall was very disappointed and just wasn’t worth it.

I’d give it 0 if I could. Just awful. Server was TERRIBLE AND RUDE. I never say anything about service but I had to. We asked if it was ok to use donair sauce we brought from home and she was like absolutely not. We are from east coast and garlic fingers need donair sauce. Our anniversary was today too and no comment made. We left after we ordered pop because we didn’t even want to risk it. Outdated and TERRIBLE.. TERRIBLE AWFUL SERVICE

Dated restaurant (feels like nobody touched its decor from the 80s, chafed, cracked paint, dirty carpet), dirty (months old dust on the shelves and counters), bad staff (ordered a Pepsi for my kid and got a completely flat glass of brown liquid, asked to replace it with chocolate milk and got a glass covered with sticky chocolate syrup on the outside, they are just bad at what they do). Overpriced breakfast (diner-level food for $16 a plate). Do not recommend this place to anyone.

We heard good things, but we found the service was very slow, chicken tenders are not real meat, and the gluten free pizza tastes like cardboard. Tried to express our concerns to management, but they did not care. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Nice menu options, food was excellent (recommend the pulled pork dinner), servers were friendly, food service was a tad slow for it being well under capacity but the quality more than made it up.

The service was incredible. There was only one person on staff and he was running the bar and waiting the tables calmly, and efficiently. The food was unfortunately disappointing very dry. The main dining area was closed, I assume due to staffing issues, so the atmosphere was more like a cafeteria, I had the best hot toddy I’ve ever. I wish I could say more positive things, but this just did not hit the mark for us. This was not what we were expecting from the pictures and description of menu online.

A lot of confusion in service, ordered to eat in, children could not sit at the table as only the bar was open but not the kitchen as advertised. Then waited a long time almost an hour and had to call in 3 times to finally speak with supervisorFood ok, expensive.Children were not welcome and they felt as if the staff did not really care for them, so we took everything to go.
We stopped in here for a late lunch at 3:00 and they were just opening. The staff were chatting in the bar area, said they weren't open yet, but checked the time and invited us to sit down. The bartender was accommodating. I had red wine and spaghetti and meat balls. My husband ordered a steak that was okay. It was an average experience.

We stayed in the hotel that it was based in. Great food and drinks choice, with daily specials available. Servers were welcoming and efficient. We had the special pizza and macaroni cheese.

We stopped by on our vacation in Banff and really enjoyed our dinner! We got the Chicken Parmesan and the Herb-Crusted Rotisserie Chicken, and both were delicious. Only the "lounge" part of the restaurant was open so there were only 7 tables - the service was a bit slower than expected for such a small crowd but we were in no rush.

This is the hotel restaurant at the Ptarmigan Hotel. We were not overly impressed as they were very short staffed (one waiter for the entire restaurant), so service was slow. We had chicken Parmesan and Lasagna with an appetizer of Garlic Fingers (garlic pizza crust sliced for dipping). It was tasty, but not outstanding. Breakfast was better as it was a buffet and we could choose our dishes.
