We had a wonderful experience at Waldhaus. Our server treated us like family- told us how to navigate all of the options, flavors, beers and portions. We truly loved the experience! Cheese fondue is a must but save room for dessert! ❤️

We were looking forward to some authentic German food, but unfortunately the dishes didn't quite meet our expectations. The Schnitzel was rather dry and the breading not fluffy. For the "Käsespätzle", the caramelized onions were hard to find (usually they are on top of the dish). That said, the ambience was very nice, the restaurant was pleasantly quiet - which made the overall experience enjoyable despite the food being just average.

From the hostess to my waitress my experience was wonderful. I ordered the short ribs with a side of sauerkraut, it was delicious and prepared perfectly. This restaurant is full of character and vintage splendor. I will definitely be back again!

The atmosphere here is very charming! The food and drinks were served quickly and very delicious. The chocolate fondue and strudel for dessert was divine. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday but there was not any extras or attempts to recognize and celebrate her special day by the restaurant. Our server was very aloof and only showed us some friendliness at the completion of our meal. Our reservation was at the end of the evening so we surmised the waiter may have been fatigued.

Took forever to get seated even though had a reservation and outdoor patio was basically empty. Took long to get someone assigned to our table and to order including basic things like drink refills. Someone else even ended up putting our dinner order in because our waitress disappeared. Food was just ok and quite expensive for that. Service was terrible, do not recommend!

Went here for dinner on our honeymoon and unfortunately had a mediocre dinner for the price. The venue and theme are cute and what we expected from the branding. Service was inconsistent, sometimes friendly but not consistently so and didn't check on us much. As far as the food, the cheese fondue is good but nothing special vs what you get from the packaged stuff. The chicken was dry but they did comp it. No stand out dishes from the night. At half the price it would have been a decent meal, but didn't meet our expectations for a Fairmont experience.

We went to October fest. Was really fun vibes with the music at the start and then trivia but then it was dissapointimg as it just turned to a DJ playing. The service we had whilst trying to get seated was poor to say the least. They made it difficult to get seated at made snide remarks on how we booked our table. I've been here in the past and had a really fun time but this time was not up to standard

We were there on a Saturday and they were celebrating Oktoberfest in the bar and on the patio with live music...so fun! We had a wonderful meal in the dining room. Our waiter was outstanding. He knew what we wanted before we knew. Schnitzel and Fondue. That way you can dip your fries and schnitzel in the fondue too! 10/10.

Had to walk up steps and a dirt trail through the forest to get there so don't wear heels. Kind of a bar atmosphere. Schnitzel was plain brats were a little better, sauerbraten was excellent. Overall did not live up to expectations.
