My wife and had our wedding reception at Von Essen. Dominik and Ute went above and beyond to ensure our special evening was perfect. The food was flavourful & authentic. Dominick was professional accommodated our last minute requests! We would highly recommend this venue and hosts; we will be back!

An incredible dinner in this gem of a German restaurant near Calgary. It was the best schnitzel I have had anywhere !! , including Germany.

Everything is authentic and made from scratch. Small seating area so it's best to call ahead if you're with a larger group. Food was amazing, I loved how they incorporated German cuisine with locally sourced items. They make their own bread (so yummy) and jams.
Would highly recommend!!

I went for lunch with a couple of friends after hearing great things about this place, and the recommendation was spot on. The service was excellent, the staff guided us through the menu since it was our first visit and gave us great suggestions. The food was exquisite, beautifully presented, and the restaurant itself felt both cozy and elegant.

If could give more tan 5 stars I would absolutely do it! This was BY FAR the best dining experience we’ve had in Bragg Creek and area!

First they started us with some homemade rye bread, garlic butter, and pork belly bits. The taste was amazing!

The main course was the Wiener Schnitzel and the Jäger Schnitzel… OMG, the taste brought me back to my grandmother’s table when I was a kid. Perfect!

I highly recommend this restaurant!

I can’t rave enough about this place! I recently took my parents here while they were visiting from Germany, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, beautiful ambiance and an exceptionally clean space. The owner and staff were not only professional but also genuinely friendly, which made us feel right at home.

The food was absolutely outstanding, every dish was flavorful and fresh. My mom couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the tomato soup was! It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers on quality, service, and atmosphere all at once, but this place truly does.

Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!
