5 Star Service for the most part,but the food not so much.They said my sweet potato fries were fresh but they weren't, sure they were hot when I got it but so undercooked..This location always takes their sweet potato fries out before they are even fully done, so the texture was not great, some of them were soggy and the rest were only cooked halfway thru.So they were too chewy and raw.Their regular fries are never hot only lukewarm, I literaly just saw they just leave them sitting out.I've also found hair in my burger more than once. At this location.Burgers are also only lukewarm,not fresh either.Such a Waste of money!Prices went way up too. And they wouldnt even give me a refund.Also now they started charging you for a bag if you want to take your food to go but they rudely ignore you and avoid the question if you try and ask them why.

Not only is this a very convenient location, but the food is always good and fresh.This morning though, I was served by a new person, and what EXCEPTIONAL service. Very friendly, warm smile, great attitude and eager to please/serve.I will go anywhere this kind soul is working.

By far the worst service of any A&W that I’ve ever experienced. I had asked to use the bathroom prior to ordering, but was flat out refused and being told that it’s my problem if I ordered and my food would sit getting cold while I’m using the washroom - I have never encountered such a silly policy at any other A&W or any other fast food chain for that matter (downtown or not).Secondly, I asked for a cup of water after I ordered my food (I usually always try to drink water with my food instead of the over-sweetened drinks that are found at fast food places), and to my amazement the young lady working at the counter insisted that I have to pay for the cup! Upon asking where this ridiculous idea came from, she said that it’s the “new law in the city” and pointed me to a paper regarding the new single use item reduction from the city which does NOT affect having to pay for disposable cups. She wouldn’t agree with me and only once I pulled it up on my phone and showed her that it very clearly states that disposable cups are not affected by the bylaw whatsoever she reluctantly filled up a cup of water and passed it over while clearly very unhappy with the fact that I simply politely explained that the paper she was pointing me to had nothing to do with cups (and confirmed that by showing her the site). Funnily enough, while I was eating she tried to pull the exact same thing with a different customer claiming that this is “the law” and that they would get fined $2000 if they gave a cup of water with their order.I honestly cannot think of a fast food spot that has worse customer service, even places like McDonalds on Stephen Ave which are always a lot more busy and usually have much more belligerent patrons still have much better customer service.Definitely not coming back here and going by the other reviews it’s clear I’m not the only one having issues with the attitude and service (or lack thereof) from the staff at this location.

I've been a frequent customer at this eatery for the past 3 months, often stopping by for breakfast or a regular drink during my transit to SAIT. However, this afternoon, when I urgently needed to use the restroom, the server declined, citing it as non-public. Despite explaining my regular patronage and referencing another server who might recognize me, I faced refusal and embarrassment. The server insisted on the company policy of requiring a purchase to access the restroom, even raising her voice. This experience has left me feeling discriminated against based on my skin color. Nothing more.I hope the establishment addresses and rectifies this issue promptly.

Fast, friendly and satisfying. Location is a bit dicey on weekends. I love their veggie burger with cheddar and onion rings (although they were a bit salty on this visit). Lettuce shards were not the best, looked pale and sparse; If leaves aren’t possible, chopping would be better.
Vegetarian options: The veggie burger is almost exactly like the beef pattie.
