The staff working at night looked miserable

Never disappointed. My grandson enjoyed the chicken strips and chips and I enjoyed the classic Teen Burger. Not a scrap left on the table as the food is made fresh and always delicious and we eat it all.

Such a nasty place to eat the guy works in the kitchen had no sense of hygiene.
He used his bare hands to flip patty and I confronted him.
The only reasonable person was the manager.
Extremely unhygienic and rude staff no greeting no thank you. I request the management to hire mannered staff.
Never coming back there again.

Was old and cold. Never coming back. Fast food restaurant owners seem to have a sense of entitlement these days. Earn your customers or go home. We pay high prices for quality, not quantity. I feel sick to my stomach.

I went to the store with my scooter, and the staff told me that scooters are not allowed inside, which I completely understood. I explained that I had lost my scooter lock and couldn’t leave it outside while ordering. I asked the lady if she could make an exception since I was only ordering takeout, and she agreed. I asked if I could have a bag with a handle because I can’t carry both food and a drink while driving my scooter. She told me the bag costs $2, so I decided not to buy it. Instead, I asked if I could quickly eat my food inside before leaving, and I was given permission. However, just as I was about to start eating, another staff member (same lady who granted me permission to order while my scooter is inside) approached me and told me again that scooters are not allowed inside, so I couldn’t eat there. In the end, I had to buy the bag and leave, feeling disappointed.

I fully understand and respect the importance of rules and regulations, especially since I am also in the hospitality industry, have small cafe and work there my self. But in situations like this, a little flexibility and consistency can go a long way in making customers feel valued. In my case, I was given permission twice, only to have it taken back. If I had simply been declined service at the start, I could have easily gone elsewhere without the confusion and frustration. This was the first time in all my years dining at A&W that I left feeling humiliated. I truly hope this feedback helps your team consider how such situations might be handled with more empathy in the future.

The cashier was polite, but the other staff were inconsistent and caused the confusion.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this A&W at 507 17 Ave SW was a real letdown. I asked for a tray and was told they don’t give them out after 10 PM ‘for safety’ — still not sure what that’s supposed to mean. The food felt rushed, like it was made just to get it over with. While I was eating, one of the staff came and stood almost right in front of me, talking loudly on the phone. There were no other customers, yet the vibe made me feel like I wasn’t welcome. I’ve had great experiences at other A&W locations, but this one… I wouldn’t bother coming back.

Viraj messed up my order and was super rude when I confronted him about it.
He started yelling when I asked him to remake it. Horrible service!

👍🏻 open late night past midnight for a cheap bite

👎🏻The late night (1-2am) service for my visit was very slow, it was not very busy but only a few people in line. I’m not sure if the staff were lying or not about the washroom undergoing maintenance/repairs but we asked them nicely to use the washroom, and the female employee kept denying and with an impatient attitude. We weren’t crazy drunk or looking like we’re throwing up but genuinely just needed to use the restroom.

It's a busy store, but the cleanliness is quite adequate. Thank you for the friendly service.

I ordered a burger from them, early in the morning to eat for breakfast. I sat down for a little bit while waiting for my order, then when it was almost ready i stand up, and saw the one who’s making my burger is not wearing any gloves, i didn’t make a fuss or what cuz its early in the morning. So i walk out and leave the premises, i dont need a free food just because im writing a review, im letting you guys know that as a customer we see how you guys handle our food and at least be mindful about it hygiene as a customer we don't know where you guys been before you make our order, its an open work area we see every little bits you guys do inside.
