Hidden PokƩ Gem in Calgary!

I always find myself going back to this place because their pokƩ is fantastic. I got takeout and they always stuff it with yummy ingredients. I find the value excellent and the taste is great!

I came here to sit down and order a poke bowl. I really had to go to the bathroom first before ordering, but the woman lied and said they didn't have one. I went somewhere else instead and ill never come back here

A very cozy place with incredibly delicious food!

We visited this small restaurant and were pleasantly surprised — it has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it truly feels like a ā€œgo-toā€ spot.

The sushi was absolutely amazing 🤤 — super fresh, perfectly balanced flavors, tender fish, soft rice, and everything was made with care and attention to detail.

And the bowl deserves a special mention šŸ˜ It was very filling, juicy, made with fresh ingredients, and the sauce matched perfectly. After eating it, you really get that feeling of ā€œdelicious and healthy at the same time.ā€

The staff were polite and friendly, service was fast, and everything was clean and nicely presented.
We will definitely come back again and highly recommend this place to others!

Great Cakes, Shockingly Poor Customer Treatment

I’m honestly still confused by what happened here.

A few days ago, we had tried their mango mousse cake at home and loved it, which is why we decided to visit A Wish Moment Cake & Cake Cafe in person. With Christmas around the corner, we were excited to pick up a few pastries—especially the mango mousse—and sample other flavors.

We arrived at the shop at around 6 PM. There were a handful of customers already waiting and two staff members behind the counter. Despite this, no one acknowledged us—not even a quick greeting or a ā€œwe’ll be right with you.ā€ They appeared completely focused on online orders and ignored everyone standing there.

After about 10 minutes, another customer tried to place an order. Instead of taking it, the staff asked him to write his order down on paper. More waiting followed, with no communication. When we politely tried to say that we only wanted pastries from the display freezer, we were brushed off and told that no food orders could be taken, and at one point we were even told to leave—despite pastries being visibly available.

The situation became messy. Staff couldn’t decide whether they could prepare sushi for the other customer—first agreeing, then declining moments later. The customer stayed calm but eventually walked out.

By then, we had been waiting well over 20 minutes in a dessert shop.

Eventually, one staff member finally asked what we wanted. She took out the pastries we requested—mango mousse, chocolate mousse, and strawberry cheesecake—and was literally holding them. Suddenly, after a brief conversation with the other employee in their own language, she refused to sell them to us.

No reason given. No apology. Just refusal.

It was uncomfortable, disrespectful, and incredibly disappointing—especially during the holiday season. The quality of the cakes might be good, but the customer service is beyond unacceptable.

Sadly, this experience ensured we won’t be coming back.

Disappointing Service That Ruined the Experience

I genuinely wanted to love this place.

Just a few days ago, my friend took a mango mousse cake from A Wish Moment Cake & Cake Cafe home, and it was absolutely delicious. Because of that, we were excited to come back—especially with Christmas today—to try the mango mousse pastry and a few other flavors.

Unfortunately, what we experienced instead was one of the most frustrating customer service encounters I’ve had in downtown Calgary.

We entered the store at 6:05 PM. There were already a few people in line and two employees working. Not once were we greeted. No ā€œhi,ā€ no ā€œwe’ll be with you shortly,ā€ nothing. We stood there quietly, assuming they were busy with online orders—which is understandable—but completely ignoring walk-in customers is not.

We stood there for 10 minutes before another customer finally spoke up to place an order. Instead of taking it, the female employee handed him a pen and paper and asked him to write his order himself. He wrote ramen and sushi. After that, everyone—including us—continued waiting another 5–6 minutes without any acknowledgment.

When we tried to say we just wanted pastries from the display, we were ignored again. Eventually, the male employee bluntly told us to leave the shop because they ā€œcannot take food orders,ā€ even though we clearly said we only wanted pastries from the freezer display.

Still, we waited.

What followed was pure chaos. The staff went back and forth about whether they could make sushi for the other customer. First yes, then no—within 10 seconds. The customer remained polite and eventually left.

By this point, we had been standing in a cake shop for 25 minutes.

Finally, the female employee acknowledged us. We asked for:
• Mango mousse pastry
• Chocolate mousse pastry
• Strawberry cheesecake

She took them out and held them in her hands. At that exact moment, the male employee said something to her in their native language, and suddenly she refused to give them to us. She was literally holding our pastries—and then just… didn’t sell them.

No explanation. No apology. Nothing.

We left shocked and disappointed.

The cakes may taste great—but what’s the point if customers are treated like they don’t exist? Ignoring people, refusing service without explanation, and asking customers to leave while pastries sit ready in someone’s hands is unacceptable.

A cake shop should bring joy—especially during Christmas. This place did the opposite.

I will not be returning.

Best advice and service.

Never been a fan of mousse cakes until this place. I guess I only had cheap ones before with too much gelatin. The cake here was so soft, FLAVOURFUL, melt in your mouth delicious. I ate a massive slice but still wanted more…

Can’t wait for the next special occasion when I can get another whole cake.
