Abbey’s Creations Bowness/Montgomery

Abysmal customer service. I placed an order on DoorDash for an ice cream cake for my dad’s birthday and three tubs of ice cream to accommodate a gluten free family member. That’s an $88 order before any delivery or service fees are added. Abbey’s Creations failed to provide me with any of the items that I ordered.

First of all : The cake that I ordered was not in stock. Store policy is apparently not to remove an out of stock item from the menu but to call me after the order has been submitted and accepted (therefore Doordash does not give me my money back if I cancel) and tell me that my only option is to accept a different cake. I would not have submitted the order if I knew the original cake wasn't available.

Secondly: they failed to include the three tubs of ice cream that I ordered and paid for in the delivery. So now I have zero tubs of ice cream and a cake that I did not want to begin with.

Their only option for recompense is store credit at a place that I never want to have anything to do with again. Plus the credit is only for the ice cream that they failed to deliver and not for the cake in a flavour that they forced me into buying.

We came here at 12:45 pm on Saturday and the store was completely closed. No sign on the window, nothing on social media. Their houra on their door say they open at noon on Saturdays.

Just got the most delicious Vegan Butter Pecan milkshake here! So happy a peeked inside to see if they had vegan milkshakes. The woman working was very friendly and helpful! Definitely be back.

Vegetarian options: Had three plant based ice cream options on the bar and even more packaged in the freezer to take home!

Store was empty and no staff up front. The guy that finally came out was clearly irritated. No greeting and unfriendly. He should not interact with people. Weird flavours didn’t appeal to us nor did his inability to describe many of them and his comments that several were “gross”. Serious concerns about hygiene and cleanliness here. Touching his face and pants, then handling food. We declined samples and left without ice-cream.

If it tasted as good as it all looks it would get 5 stars hands down. I'm sure many people believe that to be the case but it simply isn't my preference in ice cream and it isn't inexpensive. Service was fine but nothing to write home about

Awesome ice cream. Just had some vanilla today at our afternoon social in the NW. Nice because it's not overly sweet with a nice vanilla flavor.

There were some fun and unique flavours to choose from plus some standards if you like more traditional. I was annoyed that any cone type was an extra. Value is not what you get here for sure as to scoop size but they try to offset that with toppings being free. The gentleman behind the counter seemed to not be enjoying his day either.

Made with terrible ingredients. Called to ask what was in the strawberry mint icecream and she proceeded to tell me it was pea protein, corn starch and listed many different kinds of gum and then said the list is too long. Probably not the food you want to consume.

Friendly staff. We purchased a pint of cookies and cream. The ice cream is not very creamy or flavourful, and there were hardly any cookies mixed in. Disappointing on a hot summer day

The girl helping my family today was super awesome! She greeted us with a smile and was patient despite all of us getting multiple samples and taking a long time to decide. She created an awesome environment!

Meh this place is not worth the trip. I’ve had better icecream. Pretty disappointed
