The chocolate bread is very tasty on its own or with butter, or cream cheese or peanut butter. Highly recommend this little shop. Shop local.

When I Googled "bakery", Abbies Bakery popped up right away. It is close to my home so I thought I'd go and check them out. It's a hidden little gem of a place. ❤ I have a guest staying with us from the US and his favourite is apple pie. I didn't want the typical grocery store made pie either which is why I made an effort to look elsewhere. Abbies Bakery did not disappoint! The pie was delicious! It reminded me of my dad's homemade baking when he ran his restaurant back in the 60s. It was just the right amount of sweetness (not too sweet) nor was the filling runny or too gooey. Flaky, easy to cut pastry. I can see how other reviews might say there isn't much inventory but when you are not use to fresh baking with NO PRESERVATIVES, I can see that the store my appear underwhelming but the whole point is that it is BAKED FRESH DAILY. Inventory is not meant to sit on the shelves for very long. I loved her pies so much, I will call a day ahead to make sure that what I want will be there because the last time it was sold out :( Both Abbie and her staff are super friendly and willing to have a chat. I can tell she loves her craft and appreciates the people she serves. She is a serious business owner! Come and have a look or should I say a taste. Although we have not yet tried her bread or meat pies, that will be our next "to try" list. Our American guest polished off the pie so quickly, I will have to order more. ?

Stopped by this neighborhood bakery after coming from the airport. We grabbed some donuts, hotdogs rolls and chin chins. All were tasty and the assorted donut toppings were delicious. When I go back, I would love to try their meat pies and fruit pies. I want to highlight the excellent customer service and warmth my daughter and I received from Abbie and the young lady who was working with her. They greeted us with a smile, took the time to chat with us and let us sample the chin chins which are addictive. Definitely will return again, especially for the conversation!

I'm visiting Calgary and decided to explore the pastry options and found this bakery. Everyone working was super nice and welcoming, and even shared some snacks (chit chit) with me while I waited for the fresh croissants to be ready. Very affordable, especially delicious. Highly recommend

I got some fresh donuts and I don’t think they were fully cooked as the inside had some obvious signs of flour not “puffing”. I didn’t finish the donuts, they were just too uncooked. Service was nice but not much for selection. Overall pretty disappointed after reading the reviews

For anyone living in the North, I wanted to share a gem that my family and I have found in Harvest Hills. We have tried so many items and love every single thing. Every type of bread (whole wheat, white, chocolate), cheese buns, muffins, meat pies, hot dog buns, meat buns, croissants, pies, cookies, I could go on and on. I am not a donut lover but the donuts and donut holes are something I want to eat every day. The service is amazing and when we leave, we are set for lunches for the week. Plus preservative free bread is amazing!

Was driving back from the dog park and noticed the sign for Abbie's Bakery. Thought would drop in. The meat pies are delicious and tasty (had to have another after the first one) and so was the Apple Pie and Cheese Buns. Also bought a couple loaves of sliced bread. No preservatives and you can taste the difference. Very fresh The owner was very friendly and sweet and answered all my questions.I will definitely be back to try the other goodies and will recommend this bakery to everyone I know.Thank you Abbie.

This unassuming little bakery deserves more than 5 stars. Everything is freshly baked and it tastes* like it. No preservatives and the owner Abby is such a sweetheart. My only query is this might not be the place for you if you are on a weight loss journey and lack self control. The treats are so delicious. I loved the Donuts, Chin Chin and Meat pies. Bet you can't eat just one ? worth the price. Recommend for sure!
