First I want to say that I’ve never tried Nigerian food before, but I love what I ate. I ordered off of the brunch menu and
had the poutine made with potatoes, fried plantains, veggies, cheese curds and seasoned meat all covered in a pepper soup gravy. It was amazing! Waiting for my food in this cozy restaurant and smelling all the spices just made me even hungrier. Please take the time to check out Ahinke’s Kitchen, you won’t be disappointed!

Nigerian-inspired brunch. Ahinke's in the SE has traditional Nigerian dishes, AND these amazing, huge brunch dishes. French toast with candied plantain and coconut ice cream, state of the art chicken and waffles.. Supersized! And, super delicious.
The owner is vivacious and inspiring.

We were there to celebrate with Ahinke’s Kitchen on the newly renovated space and new brunch menu. We were celebrated! Everything was excellent, from the cocktails, the appetizer to and the main meal. We will be going back to taste other items on the menu. Well done for these beautiful innovations of the great Nigerian cuisine that everyone will love! I recommend this place to everyone. Go and get the experience! You won’t regret it. ❤️

During my recent trip to Calgary, I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant, and it was a delightful surprise to find a place that served food I’m familiar with. As it was my first time in the city, the warm welcome from the younger staff immediately made me feel at home.

The menu was well-curated, featuring all my favorite dishes from home. I ordered the jollof rice with beef, though the chicken was initially brought out by mistake. However, this was quickly and courteously corrected. The food itself was delicious – the rice was flavorful, and the beef was tender. The portion was a bit on the lighter side however, the taste more than made up for it.

The décor was beautiful and nostalgic, reminiscent of a quintessential Nigerian home in 1970s with flowery wall paper. The only thing missing was some highlife music playing in the background! Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d love to return with my family on my next visit. Highly recommended!.

The space looks super cute after the new decorations. The new brunch menu is also fantastic! Had the meant pie poutine and it's really fun. The fried plantains french toast was a perfect dessert with coconut ice cream.

If food looks amazing and smells amazing, it only makes sense that it TASTES amazing as well...........and the lunch we just had from Ahinke's Kitchen was all that and more! We had (among other things) delicious jollof rice, puff puff, wings and her new creation, jollof rice arancini! SOOOO wonderfully tasty! Everything was so flavorful, so delicious, and the owner herself is a pure and utter delight! You can tell she takes great pride in her food and is thrilled to share it with everyone! SO MUCH YUM!

I ordered Jollof rice and asun. They gave me a heated old uncooked rice and bones of meat. Do not buy from Uber eats if they say buy one get one free it’s a complete rip off. They will give u bones of left over meat and old uncooked jollof rice

I stop here to eat anytime I'm in town from Saskatoon. I love the customer service. Very friendly and patient. I had to wait for the moi moi today and it was ready at exactly the time they gave. The food always tastes fresh but it could use a little more quality for me to give the full 5 star. Overall I'm satisfied

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Nigerian restaurant in Calgary, and I must say, it's a hidden gem in the city! From the moment I walked in, the warm and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The true star of the show, however, is the food. Each dish was a delightful journey through rich and vibrant spices, perfectly cooked meats, and beautifully presented traditional sides. What really sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff not only provided great recommendations from the menu but also went the extra mile to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.Whether you're a lover of Nigerian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit. Their commitment to authentic flavors, coupled with their outstanding service, makes for an unforgettable culinary experience. Definitely the best Nigerian food in Calgary!
