Just got coconut rice, smoky jollof, assorted and beans from this place and it was Wow.The quantity was spot on, the quality was on point and service was fantastic.Let’s not talk about the Suya and Shawarma that one is just out of this world Harvard Standard.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Nigerian restaurant in Calgary, and I must say, it's a hidden gem in the city! From the moment I walked in, the warm and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The true star of the show, however, is the food. Each dish was a delightful journey through rich and vibrant spices, perfectly cooked meats, and beautifully presented traditional sides. What really sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff not only provided great recommendations from the menu but also went the extra mile to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.Whether you're a lover of Nigerian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit. Their commitment to authentic flavors, coupled with their outstanding service, makes for an unforgettable culinary experience. Definitely the best Nigerian food in Calgary!

Ahinke's Nigerian Shawarma is one for the books. Tasty, filling, neat packaging and authentically Nigerian. I've ordered at least 10 times and each one, as delicious as the last. I hope they never compromise on the size and taste because I love that something this delicious is perfectly filling for lunch or dinner.

I wish I could give yall zero stars. The food is so damn expensive for no reason. No Jollof rice should be 40 dollars with just one piece of meat. The ofada rice is 26 dollars and comes with very small portion. To add to this y’all use fake accounts to give reviews are u not embarrassed? Avoid this restaurant at all costs not worth it. Spend your hard end dollars on tasty meals at other restaurants because u won’t find it here

Decided to give this place a try since the food looks good on their online website. Customer service was good but I was very disappointed. The puff puffs look nothing like the pictures they posted; see picture below. So the puffs puffs below cost about $10 which is a joke. They are not even fluffy and the flavour was off. I would definitely not recommend this place there is better African restaurants in Calgary. Glad I didn’t waste my money on anything else.

My sister and I had the pleasure of dining during their Saturday buffet. The food was amazing!! Lots of options and everything tasted great. You can tell that the staff cares about their craft and quality of the food. Good customer service as well. Best Nigerian food in the city! We will be back.

I ordered amala and ewedu and they sent my food without ewedu. They even acknowledged it with a note and told me that they would adjust the price accordingly. This happened on Saturday (12th august 2023) and till now, I have not seen any price adjustment. I even saw I was charged a tip as well which i dont recall approving. If they didn't have what I ordered, they could have told me and I would have ordered something else. The food was obviously not good seeing as the key ingredient was not present. Such a shame as the restaurant was recommended to me. I certainly won't be ordering from them again and I won't advice people to patronise.

Our waiter, Andrew, was very friendly, and helpful. It was our first time eating Nigerian food, so we had lots of questions. We enjoyed everything. We'll go back to try some of the other dishes. I especially liked the suya (nice and spicy), and the fried plantain.

Visiting town and did a lot of google search for “Nigerian foods Calgary”. With a lot of options popping up, it was hard to make a choice so we decided to try Ahinke’s kitchen?….from the packaging to taste to portion? Everything was perfect! No regrets because this will always be a one-stop-shop anytime I am visiting …. Wish there was a 6 star option.
