I haven’t tried a ton of food around Calgary but so far this is my number one favourite. Service and atmosphere are ok but the food is outstanding and the price is right.

The first time I came here and had the oxtail bun bo hue I couldn’t stop thinking about it for months. And now that I’ve had it again and I can say 100% it’s one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The flavour of the broth is so rich and each bowl has much more meat than other restaurants which makes it well worth the price. Warning: if your whole table orders this your hair and clothes will smell like it afterwards

Compliments to the chef! I cannot eat very spicy foods and the chef was able to accomodate me by adding less sate but also providing me with enough peanut sauce to still be able to enjoy the wonderful flavors of the broth.
The pork was amazing! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I have never had a juicer pork chop in my life. And wow, the drink? I normally do not like durian but it was a nice subtle hint and lots of fruits inside to enjoy.
The restaurant can get a little busy but that is just a testament to how great this place is! Atmosphere is cozy and intimate.

Alo Viet is my new go-to spot for Bun Bo Hue! The spicy oxtail broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the meat is fall-off-the-bone tender. The seafood pho was equally delicious with fresh squid and a comforting, full-bodied soup. Even the pork and char siu banh mi tasted authentic and fresh. Such a hidden gem for anyone craving a great bowl of pho! Highly recommend!
