Hands down the best sandwich shop in YYC. The pork gochujang is to die for and I get it every single time, I never branch out. Every time we visit this place I say I will try something new and then I get the pork sandwich again, it is THAT good. My partner has gotten a few different sandwiches each time we have visited and has been impressed by everything. The service, the food, the atmosphere is all a win. We love Akumni and I would recommend to anyone.

Walking in, the place was not what I expected but it quickly became a yes. Quality, portion, and flavor was on point. Will come back!

Vegetarian options: Veggie sandwich was a hit.

Consistently good sandwiches. Service staff is casual and friendly. Caesar salad is solid.

Lights at the booths are a bit harsh, gives that two-face issue like in that Seinfeld episode.

From the moment we stepped in, the exceptional service made a lasting first impression. This is Calgary hospitality at its finest. We were warmly welcomed, instantly sensing that we were in for a fantastic dining experience. The food? An absolute 10/10—hands down the best sandwiches in the city. Highly, highly recommended! As tourists in Calgary, we can’t wait to return the next time we're here.

Food was great, staff and service was great, nothing but positive things to say really. I personally had the hot chicken sandwich with quarter spice. Quarter spice is great and not too spicy at all though I think next time I'd go for half spice. If you aren't sure (like I was), you can ask for a bit of extra sauce on the side.

Hot chicken sandwich, charred broccoli, and parm fries were all amazing!

Huge piece of lightly battered chicken breast in the sandwich, broccoli was seasoned so well, and the parm fries were similar to Earls, but with additional seasoning.

Service was great, and atmosphere was sweet.

I live nearby but hadn't noticed Alumni Sandwiches until tonight, and I'm glad I finally did! I tried their double burger sandwich, and it was amazing. As a burger enthusiast, it easily ranks in my top three. Usually, I start feeling full midway through and don't enjoy the rest as much, but this burger was different—I savored every bite, even the last one! The staff were friendly too. Highly recommended!

Fantastic restaurant in Calgary. It’s not often I order a sandwich from a restaurant, so this is a great place for a fun switch up. I tried the rosemary beef dip, and it was phenomenal. Every bite had the perfect amount of sauce + toppings. We also had the Dagwood which was perfectly balanced as well. A side of parm fries was the perfect amount for two people + the sandwiches. The service was great, our server was super nice and definitely made the experience better. The overall vibes were great, and I would love to come again!
