i have been buying and ordering cake from Amandine Bakery for more than 20 years, lately the quality is gone beyond terrible and more than once, even after compalining the cake is either just 90% cake or most recently just cream with rough burnt bottom I am taking this cake back tomorrow and claim refund

We have been buying cakes for a long time from Amandine. Not sure if they sold the place but not the European bakery I remember. Which is so sad as finding a European bakery with amazing pastries and cakes now instead of the big supermarkets is very rare.
We ordered a Black Forest Cake and when I placed the order I particularly ask for kirsch to be added to the cake. No Kirsch was added. When we cut into the cake it fell apart , crumbly, dry and bland. Nobody finished their slice and I was so embarrassed and very disappointed.
Then let’s get to the front end staff. Not warm and welcoming and NOT helpful at all. They need to maybe take a course on customer service . If things don’t change unfortunately this will be another business closing. Their repatriation is definitely suffering. Really sad. Won’t see me coming back.

We have been buying cakes from Amandine for many years, but today we bought one carrot cake flavour and this was the sweetest bloody cake I ever had in life. Tasted like they put the sugar 3 times at-least even when I mentioned please go easy on the sugar. Nobody ate it and we had to throw it out.Pretty disappointing ????????

The vanilla shortcake was absolutely delicious. It had the perfect balance of sweetness—not too sugary—and the fruit was fresh and decadent. Without a doubt, this is my favorite cake ever, and I don't say that lightly when it comes to cake!

Vegetarian options: Their vegetarian fruit cake was awesome and. Also not very sweet which i like most.
I liked the variety of products on the store. The flavors are very good, but the girls at the front counter could be a bit more friendly and welcoming, according to the place and products. I am not saying they were rude or something bad. It is just that they answered if they were asked (action -reaction), but your store communicates kindness, family kitchen, love, and welcoming. We ordered a cake, which was delicious, but it was impossible to cut a whole piece because it broke in pieces every time we put the knife in it. It might be because of the dryness, but as a suggestion, please check on that consistency so the experience can be the best. Thanks for your products, you make a difference!

Nice light not-too-sweet cakes. Great prices and selection! The tarte tatin is a favourite, and also the lemon tarts!
Update: This place seems to have gone downhill lately. I ordered a Sacher Torte and received a cake with chocolate on the outside and suuuuper stale carrot cake on the inside. How do you make a mistake like this? It was really awful tasting. The cake we ordered before that was also stale. Not at all what I used to love about this place.
