Ami Tea & Sub Chinatown (Calgary)

I wouldn't recommend it. Ate a sub there today. The bread was noticeably from the day before and dry. The toppings were very sparse, I missed the carrot that is usually on Banh Mi. There are much better ones for a lower price in Chinatown.

Got the Lucky Baked Pork Sub and the Red Bean Pearl Matcha.

The Sub was delicious. Perfect warmth and crispness to the bread. And the flavours were spot on!

However, the fillings in the sub were a little on the light side. Therefore I did not feel like it was the best value.

I liked how they ask you for the ice and sweetness level of your drink.

Although the amount of pearls and red bean were again a little on the light side.

The dining area is very open, clean and inviting - Unlike most dining experiences in Chinatown.

The service was great. The young man that took my order was very pleasant.

My feedback to this establishment to elevate your customer's experience is to not have storage boxes and restaurant equipment visible to your customers as this is a look of clutter and disarray. Not very presentable.

I've had several deliveries with them and two of those times I ordered bubble teas and didn't receive straws. You know, those big ones for bubbles. The convenience store right next to my place didn't sell them either so i had to scoop them out and eat it after i had actually finished the drink.
The Subs are pretty good, but i would recommend you not to order bubble teas for deliveries unless you want to use your spoon for the bubbles....

My bobarista pirate server, is 10/10 gorgeous and I would marry him on the spot. He is so kind and talented at making my food I want him to be my wif- I mean- erm - pookie bear. ?

i ordered skip from 2nd ave se chinatown location , wow best viet sub ever !! the beef is thinly sliced n theres no fatty parts which u can see they put effort in making it . i ordered the warm fire sub n i got 2 milk tea ? only suggestion is i hope they use paper straws instead of plastic ?

I ordered passionfruit olong tea with less sugar. It came out the way I like it. Stronger tea flavor with passionfruit flavor in the back. Service is good, clean shop. There are tables that customers can sit down to enjoy their drink / food.

I didn’t really get the chance to enjoy this place because there was 1 employee working on a Saturday which created a long wait for food and drinks. This is unacceptable. That is unfair for both the employee and the customers :(

Loved their delicious subs especially the Korean BBQ pork sub. Also good to get the popping pearls in their bubble tea!
