What a fun find today. We are not climbers but we will be back to enjoy the food. Thank you Emma and Mae.

Everything was really good, the standout being the brussel sprout 🌱 salad. Didn’t get her name, but appreciate the server who ran out to bring the leftovers we forgot on the table. 👊

Total hidden gem in south Calgary and probably one of the best places to eat real, good quality food. Chef driven and worth the visit. The quality is insane for the price point. Most everything seems to be handmade like their pasta and sauces. Service was great based on the more casual setting, its fun to watch people climb while you eat.

Such a fantastic spot! I visited with my husband and our 4-year-old niece for brunch, and we all had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious—my husband and I both had the eggs benny, which were cooked perfectly, and the fruit bowl was a great choice for our niece. After brunch, we took a stroll around the rock climbing gym, and our niece was absolutely fascinated by it. The atmosphere is unique and family-friendly. I highly recommend checking this place out!

I was really excited to try this place.
I came here a few weeks ago with a friend. We both ordered the eggs bennies. I had pulled pork, when it came out the potatoes were hot but the rest of my food was cold. I asked the server if my food could be warmed up. She said oh we don't do that here but I can make you a new one. The kitchen did remake my eggs benny but there no seasoning on my food whatsoever. The pulled pork was dry, tasteless and had no sauce on it and the eggs were very bland.
My friend tasted my meal and mentioned this to our waitress, she said thanks, I will let the kitchen know.
When she came with our bills they were both at full price. I asked if I could get a discount as both my meals weren't as advertised. She said no we don't give discounts. So $20 down the drain for roasted potatoes. ☹️

I eat here all the time, very good food and the staff are friendly. Can be a little loud but it’s in a bouldering gym so that’s to be expected.

Food was really tasty and good. But they served mimosa on red wine glasses, that is like basic mistake for a brunch place. Also it’s not much fancy given it is inside SOCAL building, so would not go again probably.

Came for the Thursday burger deal. $20 for the feature burger with fries (or you can sub for a salad, or kimchi fries for additional charge) and a beer or drink of your choice. Burger and fries are pretty tasty and worth a try. Also got the Tiramisu Trifle for dessert, which had a healthy amount of mascarpone cream, but definitely could use more espresso.

Three of us celebrated a birthday and each one loved their choice of entree. They are on par with the best restaurants. Our favourite was the cauliflower appetizer. Wanted to lick the plate clean. However, if you're looking for quiet, private, intimate setting, this isn't it. They have a nice open seating (newly renovated) and service was good, but they are located in a climbing centre. Parking was limited in the parking lot but we all found street parking at no charge. I really hope the chef and staff of Approach will have great success. The food and service was terrific. If you want a casual night out with great food, I definitely recommend Approach.
Awesome food, our server was great. Food was really good. Maybe some sort of separator from the rest of the building would be good.
Had brunch here on the weekend.
Food was really tasty, service was a tad slow but not bad. Interesting place to eat inside of a bouldering gym, but kinda fun to watch from the tables. I wish there was some sort of separation from the retail area as it made the space look cluttered.
Only thing that really bothered me was I had a yogurt bowl, and they served the oranges with rinds on in the yogurt. I had to fish them out, remove the rinds and then go wash my hands. Placing something inedible in edible food is really strange and the rinds should’ve been removed prior to serving.
