Ari is one of my favorite place where usually go. The food is amazing and great service, must be back
This is by far the best sushi I have had! A great place to visit for the food but the staff are also great and very hospitable, specially chef Mike! Our go to place for special dinners and to introduce to our family/friends.
Appetizer quantity is very small compared to the price. The food is very good but would love to have more of it. As well waiting staff charged us mandatory 18% gratuity for 4 people, 1 toddler and 2 babies as 6 people which felt was unfair as the babies are not eating anything.
We went with omakase for lunch and it was beyond spectacular. I challenge you to find a more beautiful sushi experience. It makes my eyes misty!
Ari Sushi is always amazing. I brought friends who had never been there before and they said the quality was outstanding. I think the same too. It was nice to see and shake hands with owner and chef Mike after our rather extravagant meal. We'll be back soon and always.
The temperature inside was a bit cold, but other than that everything was perfect and definitely on my top 3 places for sushi in Calgary.
Easily the best sushi / sashimi we have ever had! The presentation, the flavours, the service, everything was outstanding! Our new favorite place for sure!
Best sushi restaurant in Calgary. Hands down. Quality & service is spectacular and the food is unbeatable.
Came here with my sister (who eats here often) for lunch & I was not disappointed. This cute restaurant cured my sushi craving & can’t wait till I can go back.
The food was a work of art & so tasty, the atmosphere is laid back & modern. An overall great experience!

I love Ari. I come here for sushi when I wanna splurge and treat myself. The bluefin tuna toro …. U will not find better quality or plating in this city. The itamae (sushi chef) knows what they are doing. You can tell in the details of how the fish is cut. Ur eyes eat first. Each piece is $10. Steep, but well worth it. Consistency and quality is prioritized at Ari. They have $30 specials for sashimi/sushi platters that are definitely worth trying. Sit at the bar, watch them craft each piece of sushi one by one, and u will be amazed at their skills. They also teach younger chefs old tricks so it’s nice to know culture isn’t dead here. Service is good, I’m always greeted by everyone and the environment is warm. It is a small place so book ahead of time if u want a table.

There is no better sushi restaurant in Calgary than Ari Sushi. Incredible service. Highly recommend.
UPDATE 2025: Re-written for my most-recent experience. Just as superb as it was several years ago.
A perfect slice of Japan's most-revered culinary tradition in the heart of cowtown. From the highest quality, Japanese-sourced fish and ingredients, to a passion for omakase, there is a dedication to the craft of sushi here that is practically unmatched anywhere else in Calgary.
Seated at the chef's bar, we were treated to an excellent omakase experience, including ootoro, uni, and anago. The charming team behind the counter delivered each, delicious piece with a smile and genuine interest into our enjoyment.
Some of the finest nigiri I've eaten and the lightest, freshest tempura I've tasted. Sushi that is as delicate as it is rich in the subtleties that sushi is known for. We're still talking about how delicious it was, hours later. Rest assured, we'll be back for more.

This hidden gem came highly recommended by a friend - and wow, they deserve a medal.
Tucked away in the heart of Inglewood, Ari is the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell people about… because you secretly want to keep it to yourself.
The otoro and wagyu sushi are pure melt-in-your-mouth magic. My husband swears by the tako, and honestly, I don’t blame him.
Add in the friendliest staff and owners who clearly love what they do, and you’ve got a spot that’s as warm and welcoming as it is delicious.

Tried the tempura udon, love the broth, tempuras are okay but a bit overpriced to be honest. Everything as expected, not much surprise.
