I’m sure that I have not been to a better place to have a private dining room and traditional food experience
But wait you can choose from the Danish menu from the Mermaid Inn or take in some local Austrian favourites.
Weiner Schnitzel anyone?
Unfortunately I have to change my rating.
I guess there is a new chef just stated working there. They should have told me but never did.I've noticed the difference right away.
The goulash soup has changed completely,it use to be nice big pieces of beef with potatoes in there,But now it has changed to just small pieces of beef and all kinds of stuff in there and even find cucumber in the Goulash .
A real goulash soup doesn't have cucumber in it.
It use to be my favorite for 25 years but I will not get it again less it has changed back to what it use to be.
We have noticed a change in the chicken Schnitzel too.
Not like it use to be.
Sad to see this.
Good Location, good service
As a member I’m loving the new daily specials being emailed to me. I’ve been making special trips to try these great nostalgic meals that rival my moms cooking. Last Saturday I really enjoyed the fried potatoes “ Tiroler Gröstel (panfried potatoes, braised beef, onions, herbs)”.
Last week my sister and I made a social trip for the pork hocks. It’s noticeable that the kitchen takes time to get the Austrian flavours just right. Service here is always friendly and attentive.
I'm Austrian and visited this wonderful restaurant. I'm simply overwhelmed by how authentic it is. The food was perfect, and the waiters were extremely friendly. It made me feel at home.
Sincerely, Gregor
Na, Servus! Visited this place on a quick trip to Calgary, which is a must for us every time we go! Our waitress was great and super friendly. We lived in Austria for a couple years, and this food is so authentic and delicious. You can tell there are many regulars who frequent this place. It’s a little out of the way, but worth the trip!
We had the goulash, assorted salads and Wienerschnitzel with potatoes, and Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle and gravy. Lecker!! We wanted to have dessert but ran out of room! 😁
Excellent food and service.
They have bad service. Girls are very slow
Great schnitzels and roast beef. Decor is perfect for casual and professional venues alike.
Delicious food and people, l love to play my accordion in Lounge

"I had an incredible dining experience at the Austrian Canadian Cultural Centre! The liver soup was rich and flavorful, the goulash was hearty and perfectly seasoned, and the Wiener Schnitzel was cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The authentic Austrian flavors and warm, welcoming atmosphere made this meal truly unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Austrian cuisine. I’ll definitely be back!"
My wife and I had the pleasure of being invited to the Austrian Cultural Centre for their annual celebration of Austrian culture. Given that Austria may be the most cultured country in the world, the costumes, food, choir singing, and dancing was just wonderful. The centre has a very warm and friendly vibe, with lots of trophies and artifacts describing a long history of activities of the members of the Austrian Cultural Association. If you are ever lucky enough to be invited to their Cultural extravaganza you really must go.
Excellent food and service with a cozy Austrian decor.
Great authentic experience.
Very good service and great atmosphere.
